Yes, that's what I think. Even though Andy saved their butts and knocked out a top contender, I think his flipping will be held against him.
I don't think so. I think they'll respect the game play.
I think it comes down to final tribal speeches if Andy makes it there. If he can articulate that even in tribal council last night, all 4 of the girls were clearly stating they were final 4 and he made a good and proper read that he was out at #5 so he had to make a move while Sam and G could help.

When you can remind jury exactly what they saw in tribal council and then fill in the gaps of what happened behind the scene, it becomes a great move. Unfortunately, if final tribal is combative and you get flustered, then you appear to be a flipper with no strategic compass.

Sam can definitely try to steal the move from Andy in a final tribal by explaining how he carved out Andy and G for that reward, knowing if anyone else was there no plan could have been hatched.

Genevieve also made a very underrated comment in tribal, saying that she was not playing for 1 more night, but for the long game. It was a subtle note stating I will not play my hidden idol tonight just to survive 1 vote, I will hold it. That signaled that they better put 3 votes on her and 2 on Sam ensuring Op Italy worked.

Masterful by all 3, and Andy deserves most credit from what I saw, but there is plenty of wiggle room for Sam and G to try and capture credit as well.

FYI, i got an Oceans 11 vibe during editing of the planning phase. Well done

It's called strategy. In the end, the jury wants to know if you just Forrest Gump'd your way into the final 3 or did you cause it to happen and how.

Andy is getting a winner's edit at this point. We've seen this before.

He seems to be articulate enough to bring it back home at the end.

I wouldn't vote for him (because he would have pissed me off so many times) unless he was sitting next to some dunces who couldn't articulate they did anything.

It looks like that's where it's going.

That was a really good episode. Loved the heist-like editing during the planning of Operation Italy. Fun stuff.

I've liked Teeny for the most part, but she really showed an ugly side with that petty hatefulness toward Sam. Pretty off-putting.

Listened to the latest On Fire Podcast tonight - Probst said the AP who was in charge of this episode decided to make it Ocean's 11 style and watched all 3 of the movies before getting to work, and then used every single wipe that the first film used for the Operation: Italy part. cool stuff.

Highly recommend it if you're any sort of Survivor fan. Probst is incredibly candid and authentic, and Charlie, last year's runner-up, is a co-host.

Of course. The flip-flopping just doesn't do it for me.

Rachel has come up clutch multiple times

Rachel's game to lose IMO and the only alternate ending I can see is Sam beating her in fire to win the game. I just don't see a case for Teeny or Sue to earn more than a sympathy vote. Teeny has self admitted to being completely bamboozled and Sue just hasn't affected the game.

I am really impressed with the level of gameplay by Rachel, Genevieve and Andy. I think Andy would have had to convince jurors he wasn't just flip flopping, but his votes were strategic and smart IMO and I think if Andy had the chance to pitch he might have been successful. Sam has the gift of gab and has been strategy adjacent enough to win if he can sit next to Sue/Teeny

I have enjoyed this season that felt like an early bust

That was an entirely fluffy 2 hours that was unnecessarily stretched. Full of filler.

I got slammed for saying that upthread, but they should have done the whole thing tonight.

That's like saying I don't like the way my opponent uses one of their chess pieces.

Too bad Andy got so smug with Rachel. After playing a great game he shot himself in the foot.

OMG... After all that Teeny voted for Sam?

She's had no clue what's been going on the entire game

Not that she would have won anyway, but Genevieve lost it when she admitted to Teeny that the idol was fake . If she had played it off like Sam was lying, he probably would have been voted off instead.

I agree. Unless there is some epic upset in Fire and Rachel loses there (I don't see that happening) she's gonna win in a landslide.

Totally agree... This is Rachel's game to lose. If she does not win final Immunity then whoever does HAS to give up the necklace to and put themselves into the fire-making challenge against Rachel. That is pretty much the only drama left in the game.

I did enjoy the fact that Sue had maybe the least-effective Idol play of the season... no votes on her and she didn't even play it for someone else in a strategy move or make it public knowledge to use as a bargaining piece or anything.

I agree that Sue and Teeny have pretty much no shot. The first Tribal of tonight's episode (Rachel's funeral) they all pretty much made the case to the Jury why Rachel has been the best player...

Rachel has played an amazing game. She's one of the best players of this era imo.

Also, I find it hilarious that Sam keeps calling himself a physical threat and they may be counting me out "but not if I have anything to say about it". Then he gets destroyed by two skinny women in back to back challenges.

Has he won a challenge yet? I like how Teeny was mocking him as the stereotypical HS QB popular kid the other day and then he talks about having to use his acting class lessons to lie to people.

Nope. And after Kyle got voted out the only other guy was Andy!

Didn't catch the acting class part. That's hilarious.

Lol, exactly! I think the rest of the players have won 1 (Teeny 0, Sam 0, Sue 1) compared to Rachel's 3 Individual Immunity wins... plus she has found and expertly played an idol and another advantage while playing a great social game. It will be a landslide if she makes final 3

If Rachel makes it to the end, it's 9-0-0 or 8-1-0. Going to be a super boring final tribal if so, though it will be nice to get a deserving winner. I don't think that she has dominated the game (like she and Andy said, he pulled three different moves on her that she didn't see), but Teeny and Sue are such nothing burgers and Sam did his best work pre-merge. Sam was one of the best pre-merge players, but we know that won't matter unless he's sitting against Teeny & Sue. Sam did tweet out that he was on the right side of every single vote, which is impressive.

My read on this was that she couldn't decide what was true so she decided she didn't want to look like a fool again by voting for Gen if she had an idol. Rachel and Sue were comfortable voting Gen bc they knew they were safe no matter what, and worst case scenario, it was Teeny going home if Gen's idol was real and Gen and Sam were still working together.
