Watching with friends and discussing on Texags was at least half the experience for me.

I first watched it when a friend lent me and my roommate Seasons 1-2 on DVD in 2006, and we watched them freshman year in the weeks before Season 3 premiered. We pretty much blasted through it.

By the time of Seasons 5-6, I'd moved into an apartment with two friends (guy who lent me the DVDs and got me into the show, and another friend who loved the show), so we'd all watch every new episode on Wednesday nights and then discuss our theories for a solid half hour after each episode.

Then of course I'd come on here and discuss the show the rest of the week.

I associate LOST very closely with my whole college experience. Was a fun time.

Remember when Redstone spoiled "We have to go back?" the day of the S3 finale?

I was fortunate to have missed that one.

17 years later, however, I still remember that jackass doing that.

I'm BORED with the second viewing. I know there are some great moments coming up but I can't get over the feeling that they reeled us in with no plan and just played us all for fools week after week. I'm a hater but I can't say anything because I don't want to ruin the fun for my daughters who are experiencing it for the first time.

I was a big fan of Lost when it was running, but it went a season too long and half of their plotlines ended up going nowhere

I had never seen in any media before that suddenly it was okay to commit incest with your step sister



then Game of Thrones raised the bar.

The SMoke Monster is the Man in Black. They explained it, maybe 35 times.

I distinctly remember after "we have to go back" posting something like Heroes ends the season on a high note and then LOST comes along and says let me show you how it's done

I didn't watch Lost live even though I remember everyone talking about it. I always hear people talk about how it's one of their favorite shows. Well I tried to watch it about a yhear ago and got about 8 episodes in and turned it off.

The show is not good. It's not a good twist or surprise if you just make random **** up, of course nobody expects these things because you just throw in whatever you think of that week.

You know how to enjoy the show (for those of you complaining about it)?

Stop watching it for the mystery.

Yeah, yeah, that's the underlying plot mechanism, but truthfully this was a show about a group of metaphorically lost people who had to find their way to a place of peace. And in that regard this show delivered in spades.

Watch it for the characters and their development (except Nikki and Paulo, go ahead and skip tgose episodes) and you'll love it. This show has some of the best character development in tv history and that's why its very high on my alltime favs list.

If you don't walk away loving Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Desmond, Juliet, Hurley, Locke, Sayid, Jin, and Sun...well, I don't know what to tell you.

My wife and I started watching LOST during the second to last season. We ended up getting the DVD of the first season from Netflix (this was pre-streaming) and liked it so much we ended up buying up all the available seasons and binge watching them over the course of a summer. We'd stay up till 2AM some nights watching, just couldn't get enough....great memories. I've tried going back and rewatching it all the way through but life is just too busy these days.

Wasn't a huge fan of the show, but it was OK to discuss theories, especially ideas of purgatory as I was converting to Catholicism in late 2005.

I generally respect the fandom of others, but never understood the appeal of Lost. And sure enough it petered out into nonsense, exactly like I predicted on old thread. Showrunners now have a well established pattern of disappointing audiences.

How would you have any idea? Because as you made sure to tell us, you never even saw a full episode. While you spoiled it.

Introduced my kids to the first 3 episodes tonight. One is already 10000% hooked. All I told her was that every character has at least one secret.

Both horrified watching Charlie do heroin. The scared straight program is working wonders at the school

JJ Abrams is the king of intriguing plot points with little payoff or long-term plan.

I loved Lost when it was on. One of my favorite shows week to week. Still consider it a great character drama. But the producers were totally just throwing **** at the wall the last few seasons.
