He's going to use the funds he negotiated out of the settlement.Magneto said:
How does Cooper have the funds to buy up leases? Someone answer me that?

I'm cracking up that we're supposed to believe a 6'3" stud that runs a 4.4 is quarterback at Odessa Permian.

Great finale! 1st season was good IMO. Set the stage for the actual Landman, Cooper Norris.
Only complaint is Andy Garcia is still Italian and does not smoke cigarettes. Haha!

Stoney Case is Permian one of their most famous QB from back in the day. Played in the NFL. His brother Stormy played ball at A&M also a QB.
Stoney was first player in NCAA Division I-A (now FBS) history to post 9,000 career passing yards and 1,000 career rushing yards. In the course of his college career he threw or ran for 98 touchdowns, which at the time of his graduation was second in I-A history to Ty Detmer. In 1994, Case was the WAC player of the year and led the NCAA with 33 total TD'S and 3,649 total yards.
Because I was making a joke.LB12Diamond said:
I'm confused by your comment.
Why would a stud QB not be at Permian?

If you are doused in gasoline and light up a smoke.......series over. Fumes would have likely killed you first though.
Great finale otherwise

I don't know. I have a 42 playing bud who's dying of lung cancer. Yet he lights up a cig between every game. Billy has constantly lit up all series, especially after stressful situations. Near death experience being at the top.
The first thing during his torture was getting slammed in his jaw with a hammer. Which would have broke his jaw, knocked out teeth. Yet Billy Bob is able to easily talk afterwards. He's a terminator/cyborg.

What settlement did Cooper get? I thought he quit.
Also, in the scene where he showed his girlfriend his plan, I thought he was simply trying to get all the smaller leases pulled together into a larger deal to sell to big oil. Admittedly I'm not an expert in O&G, but those leases he is signing are just worth the paper they are written on until he gets them all to sign, he'll sell it as one deal to big oil who can afford to drill deeper beyond the shale, and while these ranchers and farmers are guaranteed 25% of the revenues from their land, he'll get a % from big oil.
He's out nothing right now and doesn't plan to be.
That's what I was thinking. Kinda like "I helped you get this $, now I want to help you get even richer with it."FTAG 2000 said:Muy said:FTAG 2000 said:He's going to use the funds he negotiated out of the settlement.Magneto said:

At first I thought the same, but looks like he got backhanded by the cartel guy's left hand.
After that ended I needed some more Billy Bob, and started Goiliath from 2016. Never heard of it until yesterday and he's just as great in that, for anyone interested in another good show.
