He in some ways reminds me of Michael Clayton. The fixer lawyer who was not wealthy because his role was to take on the dirty work, clean up the mess, and have insider knowledge that most partners in a law firm avoid. But he's well connected.

I don't think it is a broke thing, it was probably just easier for them to go in one together. Tommy and the engineer are never there and the lawyer uses it as his office.

Nothing wrong with the older women. Demi Moore is fantastic and Ali Larter might look better now than she ever did.

He doesn't "have to" its an option. Housing in Midland/Odessa is a monster of a problem during a boom, so if there is a company house that nice to stay in, I'd be staying in it too.

All 3 guys living in that house would be making pretty serious salaries, but staying in the same place is very common.

During a bust you can find a nice place to stay for $700 a month.

After one of the first episodes, I was flipping through the channels (old school, I know) and "Varsity Blues" was on so I watched it. And I had that same thought ... she's barely aged at all and doesn't have that "Hollywood" face so many older actresses have.

Tommy was loaded but went bust. Now he works for MTex and makes good salary and I'm sure he could afford his own place to live. The housing is essentially part of his compensation. Why would he want to spend more money on a place to live if he's a single guy working all the time? The three of them had a pretty good roommate situation going on (they were a little annoyed with Dale's sloppiness with the microwave), but the addition of Tommy's wife and daughter is seriously rocking the boat. It's probably time for them to start house shopping.

Part of the aging process, you find those in your age bracket more attractive and it's a bonus when they really take care of themselves……….

Side note: can someone please dip Little Landman's chin in some milk and let an oil field cat lick that nasty goatee off?

Maybe it can also clean the blonde bleach from daddy's white hair? They could have made it brown at least.

That kind of white trash facial hair (along with the wife's behavior) definitely belongs in Odessa, not Midland.

Bleached blonde hair
Parted down the middle
Duck tail in the back

He barely has time to buy cigarettes much less bleach his hair?

It's a bad haircut and I don't see how anyone thinks it's normal. Not sure why BBT agreed to it.

I wouldn't call BBT's style choices normal.

And in a recent interview, he admitted to wearing ladies jeans because in his words, " he has no ass"!

He stays true to that whole "dress for the job you want". He desperately wants to be a rock star, though his song output has not got him there as of yet.

Didn't he mention earlier in the show that he was $500K in debt?

I was really high on this show when it started out, but it's just gone off the rails imo and I find myself fast forwarding through some scenes. I love BBT as an actor, but I may be done with this one.

Sheridan's consistent. He has several trends taking place in many of his shows. A few positives but most going in the negative direction for me.

When one of the main talking points at this time is they live together in a company rent house. Riveting television right there.

The National Guard **** up that BBT wanted and then is pissed because it happened is when I finally had to detach ANY reality from this show. Much like that kid killing a rattlesnake with his bare hands in a culvert did in YS.

Can someone explain why killing illegals transporting drugs on private property, would be a career ender? For the military or a civilian. Yes, killing people is mostly wrong; but there are extenuating circumstances, like this for example.

Tommy asked for the Nation Guard to do "whatever they want" and blow things up; what did he think could happen? Wasn't this the scare tactic he wanted, to get the cartel to back off?

My first thought is that whole "due process" thing that we have.

Helicopter pilots knew they were illegals and that they were in fact transporting illegal drugs? Were they in fact illegals or were they American citizens in the drug business? Maybe arrest them and have trials?

That kind of stuff. I know it's not the wet dream some people have, but it's kinda the way America does things.

The Army is not supposed to be used in a police role. The scene on the show makes it look like a "training accident" etc but still, let the Army get caught killing civillians, and there would be issues.

The best solution was the first one that Billy Bob threatened in the opening scene of the first episode. A bunch of Triple Canopy (do your own reseach there) operators taking care of it. No chain of command issues, no congresional committee to deal with, none of it.

Any of you buckaroos up for some technical advice for a po', ol' woreout cracka?

We have Spectrum cable in Austin, and watched the first couple of episodes of Landman. Ever since, that time slot on Paramount has had something else on, and we haven't been able to find it anywhere. I'm too old 'n dumb to figure out and/or do all kinds of computer stuff just to watch tv shows.

Any ideas on a simple solution just to be able to watch Billy Bob?

Many thanks in advance.

It's on Paramount+, which I get for "free" as part of my Spectrum package, as well as Disney+. "Free" in the sense that I'm not paying an extra subscription fee like with Netflix. Call Spectrum.

The Army isn't, but the NG can be if called up by a Governor and not the president.

Correct, but their rules of engagement are extremly high. Something like this past eposide would cause major issues if it ever leaked.

That pretty much sums up Sheridan's whole bit recently.

Regardless of the series, Sheridan's Average Point Of Max Eyeroll is about 6.75 episodes.
