I'm struggling about how over the top the mother and daughter storyline is becoming……..

Maybe I was raised different or maybe we hang with a different crowd now……….but it's the one thing that bothers me about the show

Same. Took the words right out of my mouth. I am enjoying the show overall so far, as outlandish as it may be...but this part is just cringey and trying WAY to hard.

Maybe the mom will visit and then both will die off in a fracking sinkhole or explosion or something. These characters are AWFUL.

Most men have never experienced the ol crazy high maintenance 10 with offspring that fell right next to the tree.

The show may exaggerate some things but this dynamic is not one of them.

I actually went out with a top level crazy girl just once. The one where this guys says slashing the tires, etc. I saw the signs easily going in but thought let's just check it out. Was on a dry spell and thought, how bad could it be.

Plenty of sexually fun women who don't act like that outwardly. Some of the biggest freaks are closet freaks. I just find them annoying and trying too hard in this show. They're gonna wear it out eventually. Sheridan knows sex sells and it's prob just to try to get more hooked up front.

Yep...and on Entertainment forums, people can discuss various aspects of TV shows and certain things they find pleasing or annoying about these shows.

Admittedly, I'm probably an outlier though...I had enough of Beth Dutton after just a few episodes...could not stand her and found her character unrealistic and annoying.

If I just wanted to look at hot chicks, I have the internet, like everyone else. But even if they don't scale it back with these two, I think I will still be entertained by the show overall...not the end of the world.

One question I have about the show. I have done a fair amount of work on the natural resource side of things in TX, OK, NM, and AZ regarding O&G projects (well sites, pipelines, frac ponds, you name it)

I always heard people refer to it as the "oil field" but I don't think I ever heard anyone refer to it as "the patch."

Did I just miss that since I wasn't out there 24/7? Maybe I was just dealing with too many office people?

Thoughts?
