Yeah. MJ wouldn't be a good one. Kevin Hart mentioned he once made a joke at MJ's expense at a charity golf tournament, and they haven't been good since.

Jordan would be better, but I don't think MJ could sit through three hours of people roasting him.
Taylor Swift would be epic!

No
That being said there is no chance Jordan would agree to a roast as personally as he takes things. There are multiple former players and media personalities he doesn't speak to on the basis of very mild slights. Sam thing with Tiger Woods, I don't think his ego would allow for it.
Jeter would be kinda boring just because there's not that much there. Half the jokes would be about him being an overrated media darling. Hes just not a particularly controversial figure outside of great player debates among fans.
IMO Mike Tyson would be fantastic, mountains of stuff to go after and he's already spent half his life as a caricature so I can't imagine he would have a problem with it. Shaq is another one that would be fun. Honestly I think the best as far as sport figures go would be Jerry Jones especially if you could get Jimmy Johnson to show up, but I'm not sure if Jerry would take "any press is good press" that far.

Brady was reportedly paid 5 million to do the roast. With a reported net worth of 300 million, that's 1.7% of his net worth.
Average net worth of a 40-50 year old in America is almost 600k (median is much lower but we'll use the big number). At 1.7% that equals out to about 10k for the average person Brady's age.
Not a chance in hell I would do that for 10k. Either these numbers are complete nonsense or Brady is just a glutton for punishment.
You're not looking at this correctly because you're trying to leverage the value of your 10k against his 5M. And you can't.guadalupeag said:
That's exactly my point. While 10k would be nice no chance I am taking that to be roasted in front friends and family over every horrible thing that has happened to me. In my 20's sure, who cares. But mid life, no thanks, I'm good. Brady took the equivalent of 10k to him to do it in front of millions and clips that will last forever.

Your 10k, just being honest, is dick. His 5M, even after taxes, can be thrown in a trust for one his kids as future, real, FU, money. Or a major charitable donation. Or startup funds for something that may go nowhere or turn in to 30M in a few years.
5M for a few days, maybe a week of his time, is probably more than worth it. And as TCCTS points out, participating in that roast unquestionably will pay him dividends far beyond the 5M.
Men worth 300M don't sign up for anything not knowing what was coming at them. The roast was great, but let's not pretend Brady didn't know what was coming. Everyone, everywhere, already knew about the dirty laundry and Brady absolutely loved mushroom stamping them all with his close out.
Alex Rodriguez would be a great one, but I think his ego is too fragile to do it, and hes trying to be taken seriously as a businessman these days.Infection_Ag11 said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

Same! $10k for 2 hours of my best friends and strangers roasting me, then being able to party with them after? Sign me up!Infection_Ag11 said:
I guess it would depend on what skeletons you have in the closet that someone knows about.
There's nothing you could say in front of an audience that would make me turn down 5 figures just to sit there for a few hours.

I mean, all things considered, it's not like that was legit embarrassing for Brady or anything, at least not in any tangible way. Boo hoo, his supermodel wife hooked up with a jujitsu teacher, some of his buddies gave him sh*t for it, and he had to listen to people tell him how handsome he is for three hours. I actually like Brady more now, as do so many others, it sounds like. Not to mention, it felt like Brady, Belichick, Patriot fans, etc weirdly got a certain amount closure, that era officially came to an end Sunday night, etc. Patriot super fan Bill Simmons was even talking about how cathartic the whole thing was, and overall I just think it was a big net positive for damn near everyone involved.

I'm not sure there's enough there to roast Kelce, though. Tom was great because there was enough material (cheating, Krypto, Giselle, Belichick, his weird **** with Alex Guerrero) to make jokes. And even then, the jokes towards Brady got a little repetitive.fig96 said:
Travis Kelce would be great. Seems like a genuinely good dude, doesn't take himself too seriously.
Fair enough point. But that contract (which surely has a lot of outs in for both sides) is 37+ M / year and most likely just before and during the NFL season. If broken down monthly, that's $3M. That's my point. If he got paid $5M for the roast which took a week, maybe two, of his time, that's equitable.guadalupeag said:Urban Ag said:You're not looking at this correctly because you're trying to leverage the value of your 10k against his 5M. Brady has a 10 year contract worth 375 mil, not to mention all his endorsements he will make for being the goat. 5 mil is dick to him, just like 10k would be to middle aged person with an average net worth. That was my point. Just figured he would have demanded more but as TCTTS said he's probably playing the long game here.

He's surprisingly entertaining on their podcast though Jason is the more lovable of the two. He's a sharper dude than you'd expect.Lake08 said:fig96 said:

I watched the roast this weekend and thought it was pretty damn good. Couple bits fell flat. I thought Ron Burgundy, Ben Afleck, and Bert Kreischer weren't very funny.
Disappointing too because I thought Burgundy could've been really good but I think Ferrell isn't very funny the older he gets. Kreischer just stood up there and laughed. Not funny at all.
And honestly I'm not a Kevin Hart fan at all but thought he was great in this format.
As far next up I think Tiger Woods would be fantastic
