In person: Cincinnati. July 4th. 1978 or 1979

Staying in a tall hotel overlooking the river. They had a massive barge full of fireworks on the river and put on a great display.

Seen on tv: either Sydney or Paris on New Year's 2000. They went all out.

I wasn't there, but I really wish I had been to the one in San Diego in 2012. A glitch had them all fire off at once.
