While this thread is moving fast, and full of embedded tweets which take up screen space, unfortunately burying my analysis rather quickly, it has been useful and informative this past week.
Couldn't this just be one smaller drone getting up too close to the bigger drone and colliding with it's propellers?

The air space at Wright Patterson Air Force Base was completely closed down due to UAS ‘Drone’ incursions.
They said there were multiple craft of different sizes.

So James Fox's The Program finally released tonight at 9 PM PST/12 AM EST.
I gave it a watch and… it's fine.
It's not bad, but it's not at all groundbreaking either.
To that end, I would definitely recommend it to people new/new-ish to the subject, but I wouldn't tell anyone who follows the subject closely to rush and see it either.
Yes, there are a couple of new/minor revelations, some "confirmations," and technically five new "whistleblowers" are interviewed. But as far as I can tell none of them have first-hand knowledge/hands-on experience, save for one guy - kind of - in the form of a random encounter. Instead, they're all government officials who have mainly been privy to information, video, and photographs via their clearances. Which - don't get me wrong - is compelling in its own right, and further solidifies the "there" there, but there's still no one saying, "I was part of the crash retrieval unit" or "I worked for the reverse engineering program."
That, and as much as I love and respect James Fox - he puts his money where is mouth is and really does seem like one the truly good guys in the field - The Program unfortunately continues his tradition of really cheap-looking production value. Which part of me respects on a "just the facts" level. But man, the way it all looks like it was shot on an iPhone, the plain-ass Helvetica fonts, the lack of narrative focus, etc… it just doesn't hold a candle to the Hulu/National Geographic/MGM+ docuseries we've seen on the subject the past couple years, in terms of quality.
And look, I get it. Again, Fox financed it himself, which is incredibly admirable. But the added production value I'm talking about is more of a skill thing than a cost thing, and I just wish he had a better eye or had someone on his team who did, because that kind of stuff can go such a long way, legitimacy-wise, even if on a subconscious level for the viewer.
Anyway, I'm not at all saying not to see it. Anyone who's into the subject will almost assuredly find it worth your time. But I paid $19.99 to own it/watch it now, as opposed to being able to rent it on December 30th, and I'd definitely save your money for the latter.

I really wish someone in the press pool understood enough about wordplay to ask not US military but known US assets or affiliates to include contractors. There is a chunk of federal organizations that are not military that have drone capability to some degree. Eliminate this chunk from consideration, at least on record.

This is one of the huge frustrations with a lot of reporters today. Their portfolios are so spread out, that they either don't know how or don't care enough to ask narrow follow-up questions. They just say "OK" and move on to the next topic, or type it in their phone and hit send. You wish there were some more specialized, or more tenacious reporters who would follow up with something like, "OK, but what about the Department of Energy?"Quote:

Didn't notice a reaction from other passengers but I was also glued to my window.
Started noticing the objects ~20m into the flight and then towards the end of the flight. The objects show more detail than I noticed with my naked eye.
