Technically, our "government" wasn't interested in UFOs. Again, if we have alien crafts/tech, it's all hidden away with an aerospace company or two or three, at Lockheed and wherever else. The whole point was for the government to dissolve themselves of it - for plausible deniability purposes - while still maintaining a level oversight. If "the program" exits, the amount of people in the government who actually know about is minuscule.

I liked Cuomo quite a bit once upon a time. He got mega popular, and then like a bunch of popular media heads post 2016, took on the mantle to "protect the country" and it got in the way of good journalism. It's a weird bit where these people develop these egos that make them think they have a duty to use their platform to save people from themselves and forget their role. Change minds my presenting information, not lecturing. I digress. Cuomo has come back to earth a bit and still has some good news broadcast chops on his youtube channel.

At best, the federal government is an unreliable narrator when it comes to this stuff. I'm not sure how you can believe anyone from the government who tells you anything about this subject when the story invariably starts with "Your government has been lying to you" and ends with "but now we are telling you the truth."

For those of you that have lost your skepticism, what was the impetus? The ONLY thing that has made me look twice are the naval videos, but even then, I question why the government who hid everything is suddenly cool with letting it all out.

Fortean analysis (I put it in this thread somewhere) alongside what Christians are obligated to believe: that extraterrestrial entities (primarily non-material, but can materialize) exist.

I agree and that's a problem.

If the starting argument is that the government is such a liar on this subject that it has transcended a large number of people over generations and that they've even murdered with that goal, then just taking their word for it now (assuming there's ever any kind of acknowledgment) because now they're saying what many people want to hear shouldn't be acceptable on its own. Ultimately, and I know most here feel the same way, even some sort of verbal confirmation should not be trusted until there's real evidence to go with it.

Very true, I agree. I'd consider myself about 95% convinced there's nothing otherworldly about all this but I'll happily change my mind with genuine evidence or proof. I'm pretty confident that even if that comes it won't be tomorrow, but I am certainly curious how this goes.

How long is it supposed to run, an hour or so? It's not all day is it? I haven't seen an expected duration mentioned.
