As for if it's connected … I don't know. I'd certainly put it in the category of high strangeness. But I think astral projection is our souls entering the astral plane - a different plane of existence than our physical realm.
I don't think UFOs come from the astral plane. A different plane than ours maybe but not the astral one probably. But I have no idea.

... this is actually a pretty good/informative second season so far (while even I haven't watched season one). The first episode aired last night, the second tonight, the third tomorrow (Thursday), and the first two are definitely compelling so far.
Basically, it's all about the background leading up to the last UAP hearing in November (with Elizondo, Gallaudet, and Shellenberger) and, to Corbell's credit, how instrumental he was in providing the witnesses/release of the Immaculate Constellation program/documentation for that hearing. Not to mention, the third and final episode looks to chronicle how Congress kept (or was forced to keep?) Corbell's "game-changing" whistleblower - the one responsible for outing Immaculate Constellation - from testifying in the hearing. Which looks to send Corbell on a rampage of sorts, where, on one hand, he comes across as over-the-top vindictive/childish, but on the other hand, if true, I at least understand his anger.
To that end, he's clearly a bit of an egomaniac, but like I said earlier, to do what he does and bring all this stuff into the light almost assuredly takes someone like him and his relentlessness. His heart and his efforts seem to be in the right place, and if he needs to feel like Jason Bourne or some kind UFO rock star to pull it off, more power to him. That, and if he really is being targeted by the government, and risking his and his family's safety in that regard, he truly deserves some kind of medal in the end.

Egg shaped UAP you say? I posted around 1 year ago or so about a conversation I had with a woman on a flight for almost 2 hours about UAP's and how she managed to snap a very blurry picture of one. Looks awful lot like the one being described by the new whistleblower. The picture was exactly like she described - blurry and she wasn't able to really discern any edges. I think this goes back into the 'bubble' of spacetime created around the craft and how light is very distorted around it.

I finished the third and final episode tonight and it's seriously one of the cringiest things I've ever seen.
That said, I highly recommend watching for that reason alone.
Turns out, the entire reason Corbell was so childishly pissed after the hearing was because Shellenberger got the credit for submitting the Immaculate Constellation report to Congress and Corbell didn't. Granted, Corbell *is* the one who submitted it, but he then claims a vast conspiracy as the reason he was shunned, when it's plain as day that Congress/Nancy Mace gave Shellenberger the credit because he's simply a far more reputable figure in the eyes of the public, was the one actually testifying before Congress, and the one who wrote the article/expose on it. Granted, I get part of where Corbell is coming from, and Mace does act slightly sketch, but the temper tantrum Corbell throws is beyond embarrassing. In fact, I genuinely do not understand how he doesn't get how bad this three-hour vanity project makes him look.
Again, I believe Corbell to be genuine in his efforts and that the truth is ultimately the most important thing to him. But good gosh does he need an ego check/to quit putting himself as the center of attention like this. Case in point, this is from the second episode last night, and "The Real Housewives of Disclosure" is one of the funniest things I've heard lately/is so spot on for what this whole endeavor feels like...
Even if there are threats on his life, this is absolutely no way to go about dealing with them. And honestly, shame on Lou for participating in this garbage as well.

This was pretty insane too, and the big climax of the third episode. Honestly, I don't know what to make of it, but IMO the below is the only explanation that remotely makes sense out of whatever the hell Corbell is talking about...
The motivation is apparently to have people believe that these NHIs are not on earth now, that they haven't been here before this date, and that it's an entirely new discovery.

A few days back, I posted that my cousin near Enchanted Rock had seen a drone hovering for like an hour and she took blurry cell phone footage of it. Right now I'm out here at our family place which is about 10 miles from where she was. Just before dawn this morning, we saw something weird.
I'm in the deer stand with my son and we saw lights above a little mountain ridge. It looked like 2 flashing red lights, which flashed at the same time, alternating with 2 flashing white lights which also flashed together. My son, age 10, said it was a plane. But then it seemed to not be moving, so I told him it was just another tower with blinking lights. We can see 4 other similar towers from where we are hunting, although those are just red lights.
Anyway, we keep watching, and realize it is actually moving, from right to left, but verrrrry slow. So then I assume it's a plane and figure it's just an optical illusion making it seem slow. We keep watching, and it gradually starts moving faster, but still slow. Speeds up a little more, I finally decided it's a plane. But then I keep watching the lights, which is all I can see since it was still dark out, and they didn't seem to be proper plane lights. I thought planes needed a red on one wing and green on the other. There was no green anywhere. I also thought red was supposed to be on the left wing, but on this craft, it was very clear that the red was on its right side, and white was on its left as it moved faster away from us to our left. Additionally, there was no regular synchronization between the lights over time. It was like they were on two different flashing rhythms, so periodically they would sync up but then un-sync. Lastly, it continued moving off to our left until finally disappearing, but it went slower than any plane I've ever watched.
The size and clarity of the lights indicate this was not super far away. It felt to the naked eye like it was only a couple miles away. The almost stationary behavior at the beginning and then the wonky light situation make me lean toward drone, but I'm no expert and maybe those lights are acceptable on a plane, and maybe the slow movement was an illusion?

I remember the first time I heard of Corbell, was when he accompanied Lazar on JRE. I remember thinking the entire episode that I wish this guy would stfu. That feeling has never changed.
