That's kind of why I was wondering how many unique, unusual sightings there have been, and how much we're seeing repetition of reports. Weird activity in one location could generate a lot more social media discussion than another more rural area, for instance. I know absolutely nothing about New Jersey or the areas where they are being reported.Quote:

If the governor and 20 mayors hadn't come forward, what you're suggesting would be my guess as well. But the fact that these officials are fielding countless calls from concerned citizens, are demanding answers themselves, are calling press conferences, etc, tells me this is pretty widespread and consistent. Granted, a number of calls could be coming from people just seeing stuff on social media, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Those are the two best videos I've seen so far. Cell phone video cams just aren't good enough to get anything better. Need a skilled photographer with a high quality long lens and stabilization to get videos.

Honestly, that first video just looks like an airplane, there is no sense of scale to really go by. The red and green flashing lights also indicate routine craft of some sort. At least in my opinion.

How can they be testing delivery? All they're doing is flying around. Also, as pointed out earlier, whoever is flying these things is breaking all kinds of laws and regulations. Amazon would be on the hook for fines and possible jail time for the operators. No way this is Amazon. It's been a week of nationwide scrutiny on this story. If the explanation was that simple, Amazon would have owned up by now. Either voluntarily, or at the insistence of the FBI, FAA, DoD, NJPD, and Congress.

I might try to take a picture of a normal helicopter or plane flying over my house at night just to see what that looks like.
I looked looking through my phone last night when some big trucks across the water (in a spot where no big truck should be) apparently got lost or turned around, and all I could see through the phone were red dots. Probably recorded the audio of the bubbas yelling at each other just fine.

He is rather belligerent, but I also think he's correct about the orbs and the science behind it.
Honestly, the ability to switch between underwater and flying in the air is some pretty impressive tech. Best I can find is it's in a development phase. The navy may have something, but I doubt they'd be flying around at night using flashing lights.
