look I'd like to know the truth too, but realistically, why WOULD the government declassify the files?

Good question....they haven't for decades, why now? Perhaps they decided it's the wise thing to do?

They're not going to, unless their hand is forced by a whistleblower (who comes forward with near proof) or there's some kind of mass sighting that's undeniable.

Otherwise, people like Burchett are simply beating the drum to rally support, apply pressure, get the optics, etc.

I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone is actually expecting the government to just go, "Okay, fine, here are the aliens..."

Burchett is correct to target the funding issue, given that black box budget unaccountability in the many tens of billions is outrageous across the political spectrum.

Sadly, Sen. Schumer years ago and Tucker this week on Rogan are correct: fear and blackmail and homicide are the true currency of the bureaucratic oligarchy that really runs the show, not the temporary hired help of supposed oversight.

They won't. They've kept the Kennedy stuff classified, against law, and all those people are now dead.

My presumption all along is that Congress's interest in this is based on concerns that our enemies have developed drone technology that greatly exceeds our own.

It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

That said, considering the reported capabilities some of the "drones" - if they're China's, Russia's, or another country's - they potentially FAR exceed our own, to the point where it would almost make more sense for them to be NHI tech.

Chinese and Russian technology are not plausible because it's indisputable that something for decades has been breaking the known laws of gravity - sky and ocean.

Moreover, those capabilities would have been even more superior to our own in the late '40s. Russia's best WWII aircraft were a flying tank (the famous IL2 Sturmovik) and the Yak 9 fighter. Great aircraft to be sure, but not technologically superior to anything else being produced at the time. The Chinese had no aircraft industry to speak of. If something was recovered at Roswell and Kingman, it could not have been Russian or Chinese.

We are not alone in this process from what I'm hearing.

"Right now, we haven't gone that far back. We're dealing with the recovered UAP that landed in Kingman, AZ in the 50's. We now know the management structure and security control systems and ownership of the crash retrieval. We also know who recovers landed or crashed UAPs under what authorities. We also know that a still-highly classified memo by a Secretary of the USAF in the 1950s is still in effect to maintain the cover on UAPs."

~Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence in the Clinton administration. April 2024

If anything, this saga never fails to entertain. Elon's assuredness, Ashton begging, "Elon sir, please," the fact that this has even reached Elon… I love it all…

I feel like people don't accurately take into account the relative speed of things going in opposite directions as a plane is flying 500 mph. I don't know what it is in that video, but just using a car as an example. When you're going 70 mph the broken lines painted on the ground are zipping by. You think they are shorter than they are, and you're closer to them and going a hell of a lot slower than an airplane.

It's also really annoying that the host cut off the other guy talking about it.

Perhaps most glaringly, the Pentagon UFO office does not address how multiple balloons, separated vertically by thousand-foot increments, could plausibly maintain a "very clear," "equidistant" diamond formation at high altitudes in strong winds aloft.

Got to love a nice, broad Executive Order that could cover an event like this, even if it wasn't written specifically for an event like this.

*btw, this one appears to have been issued by Obama in 2009:

The unaccountable oligarchy of the permanent bureaucracy can do whatever it wants. It's outrageous. Check out the recently Why Files YouTube episode on energy patents.

Slap a "national security" tag and …. it's gone.
