I thought when she was "locked in the room" she had locked up her mind up from what was happening in the living room. Something about "my eyes what did she do to my eyes" made me think that it was happening outside while her mind was locked up.
The theory of her disassociating with her actions make more sense especially after giving her son vodka. That scene was a hard watch.
The eye comment was a call back to the guy she killed at the end of last season. Which makes me think it was all in her head
