Enjoyed the show last night by Charley Crockett at J T Floore's Country Store in Helotes. Feel like I'm late to the party regarding Charley (with an E Y) but really digging his stuff.
However, it was way too damn hot to be having that show there in August.

I'm in Houston too. Rush has always been a band that I liked, but never loved. A friend had free suite tix for the FW show, otherwise probably wouldn't have gone.

AC/DC was awesome last night. No screwing around, just pure rock and roll for 2 hours. Don't know how Angus does it. He never stopped moving the entire show.

That was an awesome show. We were on the floor, and it was high energy! So glad we went.
I think Angus' guitar solo went for 20 minutes.

Johnny Blue Skies announced an after party show in Austin tomorrow billed as Johnny Blue Skies & the Flying Mojito Bros at 29th Street Ballroom with the event starting just after midnight.
No idea what that will be like but it sold out very quickly. Capacity is "up to 400 people".
ETA: Kind of wild they'll play presumably from 8-11 at big Moody and then jet over to this tiny place for a show starting at 12:15 AM. I assume the Mojito Bros will start the after party with DJ music and then JBS will come out and play a whole nother set until 2 AM or so.

Johnny Blue Skies blew my cheeks off on Friday. May have mentioned it earlier but had some buddies see Sturgill 10 years ago at Club Dada. They were ahead of the curve but I've been wanting to see him/they/them for a decade now.
Holy ***** That was the best non jamband, but still will jamband you in the face when they feel like it that I've ever seen.
Nearly three hours straight. No setbreak. Just straight fire. It's a shame they only had Austin and no other TX dates. Already looking into where I can see them next. Possibly Charleston.
If they are anywhere near you please go see them.

Seeing them at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Wednesday... can't wait as thats been a bucket list venue for me as well
