First episode ...what the heck did I just watch? I've got no idea what's going on in this one but I like the way it's given to me. It's out there. Like weird almost creepy wtf out there. Im gonna have to watch it again. Beetles? Pyramids? Huh?

One episode in as well and I'm intrigued. A bit of a slower start than Dark, but considering the insanely high quality of that show these writers have earned my trust.

Dark was AMAZING! Is it correct that it's the same creators…but no story connection?

I feel like with Dark, I didn't understand what was going on until episode 4 or 5.

Pretty mixed reviews on this so far. I loved Dark, but am waiting for reviews from you guys before starting.

I'm 5 episodes in and think it's the same quality as Dark. Hopefully they stick the ending just as well.

I don't think I've ever watched a show with more languages being spoken. I think I've counted 6 different ones.

Yeah, I really detest foreign subtitled films but this one I don't mind. It's not so much foreign as multi-lingual due to the mix of people involved and it works for me. I'd rather this than a bunch of foreign people speaking English with fake accents.

I'm sure I missed a few other tropes as well. And I don't know which of those are "real" or "imagined" at this point lol. When I watch this I get vibes from so many shows: Stranger things, Cabin in the Woods, Final Countdown, Clue, Matrix, Titanic, Dr Who, and a few more. Really wild ride.

This show reminds me of Dane Cook talking about Lost

Three episodes down, and I'm getting heavy Lost vibes, with the flashbacks, each episode focusing on a different character, and especially with the very last scene of the ship disappearing. Felt just like when the island moved.

Also, the song choices have been fantastic thus far.

I'm probably the only idiot who didn't realize this at first, but make sure you watch this in English Original and with subtitles... NOT English dubbed with subtitles. You lose the whole aspect of the multiple languages, and they don't translate the concept that people can't understand the other characters from differing countries, which is a major plot point of the show... It's actually pretty bizarre. I was 2.5 episodes in until I figured out that it was off.

Do you have dub set as your default option or something?

I don't think so, I think I thought that was the only option for subtitles, and that they were doing the entire show in English due to Dark's popularity and it just sounded strange. Some people were clearly speaking English but some weren't. It was just all weird and off

Haven't started this yet. Wife checked out on dark which I'm going to pick up again. I've only seen the first couple of dark episodes.

Anyway I posted to thank you guys for using the spoiler tags. I've had things ruined before and accidentally let one get by myself once.

Is this a one season and done show or does it have the potential to stretch out a few seasons?

Yep, from what I'm reading, they have a three season arc already planned out, just like with Dark.

That was bizarre, but great. I never caught on to what was coming next, everything was completely out of left field.

I enjoyed it, although looking back it's annoying that we had to sit through hours of fabricated backstories for the supporting characters, given that almost everything we saw was already in a simulation. I didn't really need that much made up history.

This show is like LOST. Lots of random story lines, lots of questions with no answers...Im only 4 eps in, but Im starting to feel like the payoff wont be worth it.
