Limited release this weekend around the state for those into extreme horror films. I'm going to check it out to see if the supposed reports are true about the film. Should be fun.

Everything I've heard about this film is that the kills are some of the goriest that's ever been put on screen…..and that the kills are not done quickly….yeeesh

That's they are saying. I have a pretty good stomach, when it comes to movies like this. We shall see

Is there an actual plot or interesting characters? Gore for its own sake isn't really enough to get me interested.

I did, it's a low budget horror flix but decent. It's graphic probably a 7 on the oh **** scale. The new one apparently takes it to 11.

Yea it's not your kinda movie based on your posting history on this forum. I would stay away from this one. This isn't anything that going to get nominated for the right things.

from what I've heard the first one doesn't have much in terms of plot or interesting characters.

This second one however is over 2 hours long….and shows the main protagonist just as much and they go into things a lot more than most gore fest films from what I've heard….also heard the actress who plays the protagonist does a pretty dang good job of acting in this

Saw this last night. It is an hour too long, but it is unlike any horror movie I've seen before, and my hat's off to the director for that. You can tell the director is a master special effects/prosthetics/makeup artist because the kills are BRUTAL.

It is a demented movie; honestly surprised it got away with an R rating.

Did I enjoy it? Yea, it is very well done for what it is.

But good lord. There is some sick **** in this movie.

It is definitely niche. I remember being shocked at how depraved the original Hostel was when I saw that. If that was a 9 on the gore scale, this was easily a 20.

I guess I'll skip this one. I had to walk out of the theatre for a few minutes during Hannibal when Dr. Lecter was doing the culinary brain surgery on Ray Liotta. I've definitely seen gorier, but damn that scene got me.

Heading out to see it now.

Didn't realize it had a rating attached to it. Just saw it was NR 17+ so basically NC17. R rating would mean you could take kids to see it which I'm not sure I would do. My kids are into horror movies also but no way would I take them to see this.

Oh, you may be right... I just assumed, I didn't think the major theater chains showed unrated/NC-17s

Well that was different, actually has a story to the gore. It's very extreme, but almost to the point I laughed at certain parts. Definitely not for the faint at heart, and stay around for the credits.

"Story to the Gore" would be a great name for a metal band

Half full showing, saw two couples walk out, everyone else stayed.

If you went in for the kills, it delivers very well

While there is a plot, if that's what you went in for, your gonna leave confused and let down lol

with this magic dagger, I shall heal myself and Take down the bad guy

That was a ridiculous scene

For those of us who will definitely never, ever see this, care to elaborate and give some examples? I saw Hostel. It was disgusting.
Let's go, Brandon!

A lady gets her arm ripped off then ripped in half. A lady gets beaten to death with a spiked club. I mean, other stuff. Honestly, I Kind of thought it'd be more gruesome. Have you ever seen treevenge?

It was that level of violence.

watched all 3 of these movies the last couple days. the whole thing is so forced and unrealistic i thought it was hard to find disturbing (almost funny like someone said) , unless youre just squeamish around blood. One of the kills in Terrifer 1 was straight outta "Bone Tomahawk" but didnt have near the effect without any story or buildup.

I talked my 17 year old out of seeing this last weekend. Our local theater isn't showing it so he would have to go down to Round Rock or Austin. I used the recent spats of teenage gang violence in those areas to convince him it was a bad idea.

I have nothing against horror. But it's not and has never been a genre I enjoy. But some of this stuff is just garbage gratuitous violence. I've seen enough real life "gore" I don't need it in my entertainment. Big no thanks for me.

As and aside, my wife got me to take her to the new Julia Roberts movie yesterday. I don't even remember what it was called. But it was "not terrible".

Ticket to paradise. It was alright.

I laughed and said "oh *****" out loud in the theater when they woke up next to eachother in bed

There is not only the original "Terrifier", but Art the Clown makes his first appearance in 2008's "The 9th Circle" (a short film), and there was a short film also by the name "Terrifier" in 2011, with another appearance in 2013's "All Hallows' Eve", which is feature-length.

He is slowly building a following.

My wife and I watched "All Hallows' Eve" and "Terrifier" (feature-length version) over the weekend. We haven't caught "Terrifier 2" yet.
