Limited release this weekend around the state for those into extreme horror films. I'm going to check it out to see if the supposed reports are true about the film. Should be fun.

from what I've heard the first one doesn't have much in terms of plot or interesting characters.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Is there an actual plot or interesting characters? Gore for its own sake isn't really enough to get me interested.

Well that was different, actually has a story to the gore. It's very extreme, but almost to the point I laughed at certain parts. Definitely not for the faint at heart, and stay around for the credits.

"Story to the Gore" would be a great name for a metal band
For those of us who will definitely never, ever see this, care to elaborate and give some examples? I saw Hostel. It was disgusting.Ghost of Bisbee said:
It is definitely niche. I remember being shocked at how depraved the original Hostel was when I saw that. If that was a 9 on the gore scale, this was easily a 20.

I talked my 17 year old out of seeing this last weekend. Our local theater isn't showing it so he would have to go down to Round Rock or Austin. I used the recent spats of teenage gang violence in those areas to convince him it was a bad idea.
I have nothing against horror. But it's not and has never been a genre I enjoy. But some of this stuff is just garbage gratuitous violence. I've seen enough real life "gore" I don't need it in my entertainment. Big no thanks for me.
As and aside, my wife got me to take her to the new Julia Roberts movie yesterday. I don't even remember what it was called. But it was "not terrible".
One of the best Christmas movies ever made.gigemags-99 said:
Okay. That was hilarious

A lady gets her arm ripped off then ripped in half. A lady gets beaten to death with a spiked club. I mean, other stuff. Honestly, I Kind of thought it'd be more gruesome. Have you ever seen treevenge?
It was that level of violence.
