Guess so.

Just seems like quite to leap for him to spike one of the countries biggest stories so the kid can get peed on.

Harper is a sociopath. Eric was sort of the sociopath mentor. I sympathize with Yas because she's been royally screwed up since birth by a sociopath in her dad, and keeps trusting other sociopaths. The end was her realizing that, and Harper full on responds by confirming it by spewing all of the same hateful things her dad did. They have mostly only "helped" her because there has always been something in it for them.
Everyone is a sociopath, even their "friendships" have no meaning to them. Harper tries to protect Yas for about 5 seconds from Petra, and the only thing she did to try to stand on that was take information she didn't even have full context on to throw it in Petra's face. When Yas calls her out she goes nuclear on Yas. This is Harper's MO and why I dislike her so much as a character.

Harper and Eric are. Yasmin is mostly just screwed up. She has a conscience. Robert is similar - he's been ****ed over and is broken in a number of ways. But he has a conscience. Harper and Eric on the other hand decide what is most useful personally to them at the time and will use anyone necessary to get what they want. Sometimes that's feigning support. Sometimes that's straight-up ****ing someone over.

That makes sense, I must not have been paying enough attention to what he was saying. After recently being berated and condescended to by both her father and Harper it'll be interesting to see which direction she goes. Based on the trailer at the end of the episode I'm guessing she says no to that offer but there can always be misdirection present.

Phenomenal penultimate episode. One that almost felt like a season finale for most of the runtime. Now I can't wait for the actual finale next week…

I enjoyed everything but the Yas part of the episode. The whole situation with the board telling her we'll pay you off but we need you to be the public face to blame knowing she'll be a pariah for the rest of her life as well as knowing she didn't do anything. Maxim, who is also a member of the board, telling her he can get her a list of victims on the payroll confirming the company is complicit. Yas's own attorney telling her to think of the victims rather than her own client regarding this deal. Yas predictably not being able to keep it together when Robert takes her out of town. She and Harper are collectively just the worst. I would rather spend more time in the PierPoint board meeting than listen to Yas or Harper.

Yeah, the Yas storyline is kind of dragging down the show. I still don't understand why this is such a big deal that she has to worry about paparazzi at her every move. I also don't see why her being the daughter connects her in any meaningful way so that she could even be the face of the controversy. This was all done by her father and I am not sure if she even ever worked for the company.

The episode also highlighted how snobby and awful a person she is when she started to b/tch about not having a kettle. I guess the show is trying to remove any and all redeemable qualities about her.

Ken Leung's acting outside the elevator with Adler was unreal. The way he shifted to zero expression like an assassin robot vs. his overly expressive pseudo deep thoughts with Yasmin at lunch was very well played.

This show is incredible and has definitely moved more in the direction of Succession… whereas early on it felt more like the corporate version of Euphoria. I think 4 seasons will end up being the perfect run time.

Really good episode. I dont mind the story line with Yaz at all. It is a complicated story and she is an interesting character. She is trying to make her own money in a serious industry. Are the things her father and Harper said about her true or is she just young and inexperienced in life while having a somewhat traumatic upbringing? She has had a rough few months here and I liked seeing her stand up for herself. She should fire her attorney. The episode was a great little volley of zero sum and I liked how Eric and Yaz played it.

Yas is mostly broken from a ****head dad. She's naive in many ways, but i don't see her maliciously ****ing people over to get ahead. That's Eric and Harper

Going to be very interesting to see how they bring the leads back together for Season 4. Lots of different directions after that finale.

Ok that finale was exceptional. Really love the depth they gave the 4 main characters. I'm really glad at the end of the day this season played out this way.

That was, indeed, fantastic.

And absolutely, unexpectedly heartbreaking.

To that end, it was weirdly warm at times… but also brutally cold and shocking.

Good gosh.

Easily one of the best season finales I've seen in years.

And yeah, no clue where they go from here. Which is another hallmark of a great finale, because it feels like they left damn near everything on the floor.

Not to mention… the cutting back-and-forth through time, the cinematography, the music… the filmmaking itself was, like, Industry on steroids, in all the best ways. Everything this show does good, it did transcendently good tonight.

Man.

Also… side note, which I'm just throwing out there… but Harry Lawtey (Robert) for the newer, younger James Bond.

Dude killed it this season, and seeing as he also plays Harvey Dent in Joker: Folie a Deux next weekend, it feels like he's about to blow up.

Wow…!

I thought that was a satisfying wrap-up for every single character.
I REALLY want to know wtf Rish is gonna do. Holy *****

The Robert/Yas wrap-up was so well done.
Love that Rob is out in Silicon Valley now. Gotta wonder if he and Gus team up next season.

Clearly it feels like this season finale was written to be a series finale, and that would have been just fine.

But I can't wait for S4.

Probably will be a 2 year wait.
Giddy up!

Man, I loved that finale. That's probably my favorite episode of this show so far, I feel like I need to watch it again soon.

I like where they're going with Harper, but for every time she's been in my good graces they do something with the character that goes the other direction. But at least I'm back to being intrigued with where they go with her.

I thought Eric's story was exactly like it should be.

Rishi - all I can say is wow. Side note, the guy that plays his bookie, Asim Chaudhry, is actually a comedian. I first saw him on a season of Taskmaster. That scene was just insane.

Yas & Robert - At first I thought she played Robert dirty, but in hindsight she did exactly like it was expected. I do think she loves Robert, he's basically the only person we know of has actually cared about her. But she also knew Robert couldn't make her happy, for what she thinks happiness is. She doesn't love Henry, but he can offer her what she wants in every way Robert can't. Also, it allows Robert to leave and be his own man, which is what he has the opportunity to be. Honestly the way they wrapped up the Yas/Robert story was probably my favorite part of the episode.

They could have ended the entire show with that finale and I'd be satisfied, though I'm glad we're getting more.

I was thinking the other day of who would be great in that role after Daniel Craig. If I was going to call my shot I'd say Aaron Pierre, from Rebel Ridge. He's got presence, he can obviously handle the physical aspects of the role. He can be respectful and confrontational at the same time. He's also a British actor with real chops. If they're looking to find a guy to be the next evolution of James Bond I think Aaron Pierre is about as good as they could do, I'd sign up for that movie right now.

This was basically the Sopranos Christopher Moltasonti scene at the gas station after Adriana tells him she's been an FBI informer and asks him to come take a deal with her. He's looking at his future life of the beatdown dad, and it just isn't it. Calls Tony instead.

Phenomenal finale. Legit heartbroken for Rob but of course that had to be the ending to their story… for now. Interesting (like someone else said) that they left the possibility open of her pregnancy being a story line. I agree that it definitely felt like a series finale… even to the point that everyone appears to be headed to different geographical locations going forward. I guess they'll have to amend that somewhat via the story line for next season.

Incredible finale. I loved the cinematography, the music, the editing. Story lines were incredible. Season 4, I cant help but think Eric somehow gets involved in LifeLabs with Rob, they have to return to London & Henry for more money where Rob discovers Yaz had his baby, Harper and the guy from prison go overboard with their investment espionage resulting in the doors getting broken down in the middle of the night by johnny law; of course all the money is connected to each character resulting in mega stress inevitable prison time unless deals get made.

Would have been a fantastic series finale. It was a gut punch at dinner, but Rob knows this is best. The flashback to the park bench said everything - he knows that she actually does love him but also what she's doing with Henry. He knows it was never going to work out; that's why over the past season+ that he basically never reciprocated until finally giving in. He knew all along.
