This thread will contain SPOILERS of the show. There is your warning.

So, seems like a little bit of artistic license with the crab feeder, over what was in the book. Think anything will come of the greyscale issue and Daemon?

So dragon riders right now are Daemon, Rhaenyra, Laenor Coryls's son), and Laena (Coryls's daughter)… is that it?

My wife hasn't read any of the books and I've read them all. It was very confusing for her about who or even what the Crabfeeder was, and I can't say I blame her. It's hard to take that you're losing a war against a bunch of non-descript guys when you have 2 dragons at your disposal.

I am interested to see what version of the truth we get from the show since the "Maesters" presented more than one possibility in parts of the book. I like how they're stoking the fires of a Criston Cole / Rhaenyra romance on the show which will make his turn into Aegon's "Kingmaker" all the better.

Looking forward to the other board's reaction when Daemon and Rhaenyra hook it up. Looks like at least one person there is "predicting it" /eyeroll.

I'm looking forward as well to the Blood and Cheese duo but that will probably be in a later season.

The penultimate episode of this season is going to be Aemond/Luke and the battle over storms end IMO which means blood and cheese will be the season finale.

Just my prediction.

Right.

But who doesn't see Viserys dying?

I mean they basically show it in the next week previews AND Otto tells Aliecent to "prepare Aegon to rule" and R is still the named heir...

They just want to be pissed off, man. They got mad at me for talking about something that was show in the preview of Episode 2.

They are the same people who were pissed off when someone said Gregor Clegane would fight Oberyn Martell when they announced the episode title was "The Viper and the Mountain"

You guys think we get the origins of Greens/Blacks in the coming episode?

How quickly can we get to Viserys' death?

He doesn't die for another 20 years from where we are now, right?

I don't think so because it'll be too much in one shot, assuming it already contains Rhaeyna's wedding and criston cole killing the Knight of Kisses and possibly getting into with Breakbones, who I don't feel we've seen but hae heard mention of.

They'll need to establish the 2 older actresses before going straight into the big Black/Green division,

We've seen Harwin twice I think - once with his brother during the hunt episode and briefly on the street in the recent episode - I think Rhaenyra bumps into him patrolling as a Goldcloak and he lets her go.

But I think you're right, this would be a good spot to start Criston's heel turn toward Alicent and the Greens

Good call, I didn't catch that it was him letting her go in Flea Bottom. A good little "oh yeah he was nice to me once" moment for after Cole gets pissed off.

Rhaenys (Corlys's wife)

Poor Corlys... whole family gets a freakin dragon and he's stuck on a boat.

Yeah I'm curious to see how exactly they drive the wedge between Criston and Rhaenyra.

I have another prediction - I think the series/Dance will play up the role the Starks play. I.e. I think the Starks arrive after all the fighting is over and Cregan just executes all the traitors left in King's Landing, but I think the show will adjust to have Cregan show up and save the day in the final battle where the Blacks defeat the Greens outside King's Landing.

No, I think Aegon II is like 16 when the fighting starts and Rheynaes kid(s) are 14?

Or am I way wrong?

Book wise that's about accurate but Aegon will be a little older than the rest of Rhaenyra and Alicent's kids since he's 3 or 4 as of episode 4 and they will have to let Jace/Luke at least be 15-14 years when the Dance starts. Aegon will be in his early 20s when the war starts, in the show

Nah, I think last episode Aegon was only 2.

I imagine we'll get the wedding next episode and maybe even a jump to show R is pregnant.

I'm listening to the hook in Audible so I'll probably spell these names wrong…

HA! I just got to the part where the "favorite" of the "queen in the east" steals three dragon eggs. These are the three dragon eggs that eventually get gifted to Daenerys, aren't they?

Strongly hinted that those are the eggs Elissa Farman stole, yes

I've caught up with the last episode… I'll probably be a couple episodes ahead/done with the book by Sunday.

So far they seem to have created good dialog for the book.

The show or the book?

Also, can someone give the folks in the spoiler free thread a tampon since a canon gay character showed up on their screen?

I thought tonight was a great episode; they deviated the killing of the Knight of Kisses from the tournament to the banquet, but that played really well for me. Plus, you know Laenor's dad had no problems with that dude getting killed because it is less of a 'distraction' for the son.

Again really enjoying the faithfulness of the religious aspect and all the houses at play - a member of House Royce made me long for Bronze Rohn from the books. Love the deep burn from Rhaenyra to Jason Lannister, and really felt sympathetic for the Velaryons. The mother has the right of it about her kid being in harm's way.

Good for them showing Ser Strong getting Rhaeynra out of danger to set up that relationship.

Being the king looks freaking miserable.

In the book Criston Cole doesn't have sex with Rhaneyra. She tried but he takes an immediate and lasting dislikie to her as a result.

Alicent is much more devious in the book.

There are 2 different stories in Fire and Blood, one that he goes to her bechamber before the wedding and says he's in love with her and wants to go to the Free Cities and marry her and another saying she tried to seduce him at the same time frame. He then busts up Harwin Strong an the knight of Kisses at the wedding tourney

That's what I like about this show, because everything in the book is history handed down by narrators that aren't completely reliable and often conflict, so we don't really know what the truth is.

So watching the show is like getting to see what actually happened, which is cool.

The book. Basically, they ALL die. The dragons die. Innocent people die. Evil people die. EVERYBODY** DIES!!

Hope Alicent is among those who die badly.

Hahaha agreed. It's funny when the show only folks are like "there's no villain!"

What till you get a hold of the "a son for a son" sequence
