Wasn't "red dirt" invented to include Oklahoma acts like CCR and Stoney when they started getting popular on the Texas college town circuit?

I'm sort of on the fence about going to the Cynthia Woods show. Especially since it appears to be some Texas country thing.

It's a great lineup with REK, Todd Snider, and Hayes Carll. I'd go if I wasn't going to be out of town, although not sure Cynthia Woods is a great venue for this kind of show.
Where are you seeing this? Is this set in stone?TXAG 05 said:

2-Waldon

Todd Snider and Hayes Carll are great, not sure about the other openers

Yeah that ain't no Texas Country lineup (circling back to the argument at hand). I've always wanted to see Todd Snider. I've been really into John R. Miller lately, and Kesley Waldon is pretty good. And of course, Hayes Carll is Hayes Carll.

That was at the rodeo at NRG stadium. He put the crowd to sleep faster than something that would put a large crowd to sleep very quickly. I can't think of a good metaphor.
.
This got me and literally made me laugh out loud.
I'm seeing him in Dallas on the 24th. Never seen him love before. I think he has a couple days off before that show, so hopefully that will help him out on a good show.
Will be at the Dallas show as wellgoadius6 said:

Mike and the Moonpies are fun to see live. I saw them several years back, and ran into them at a bar in Deep Ellum after the show and hung out for a bit. Really cool guys.milner79 said:mavsfan4ever said:Philo B 93 said:

Be sure to get there in time for the opener. Mike and the Moonpies. Damn good stuff.
