I wouldn't do it.
I wouldn't do it.
Now that you mention it, him getting off scot-free would be the most Saul Goodman ending they could give the show. And ditto the irreparable damage, getting off scot-free and a happy ending are two different things. I just don't see how they pull it off in an hour.Ghost of Bizbee said:
Here's what I think happens tonight… Jimmy gets off scott free, but at the expense of causing irreparable damage, like he's done his whole life.
He will talk his way out of whatever is coming his way tonight, like he's done his whole life.
The tragedy is he always finds a way to save himself but not without negatively impacting others.
Maybe that changes tonight. Dunno. Doubt it.
Well the run time (including commercials) is 1 hour 38 minutes so they have extra time.torrid said:Now that you mention it, him getting off scot-free would be the most Saul Goodman ending they could give the show. I'm not saying explosions in general, I'm talking about the cliche a dude walks away from a ginormous explosion. Like this:TXAG 05 said:aTmAg said:Being too slow is a legit complaint. There is a wide gap between being too slow and going full Michael Bay. BB played it perfectly, IMO. An episode or two in BCS this season has already surpassed BB's greatest episode of all time, Ozymandias, in my opinion
BCS proved itself as as the superior show. Both series are phenomenal. This is my controversial entertainment take of the year.
Totally your opinion on BB vs BCS. I think BCS is better overall, and I absolutely love BB. I know I'm not alone in thinking this, too.
Regardless of ratings, I still think it's at the same level as BB in terms of quality. people are missing out for sure.
I think BCS goes too far in the slow direction. That one Gene episode with the mall heist is one example.
Did you forget the whole plane crash thing? Plus Walter walking away from the explosion at Tuco's HQ?

BB sorta had one in S1 with that dudes BWM, but that was small and more of a "don't draw attention to myself" walk than a "I'm so cool, I don't even need to look at the nuke going off behind me" like in 99% of action movies.
And he was in Tuco's HQ. That wasn't close to what I'm talking about.
I totally forgot about that Gus scene. What was the reasoning for him blowing it up? My memory sucks.TriumphForks said:BCS has one when Gus walks away from the exploding Los Pollos HermanosaTmAg said:I'm not saying explosions in general, I'm talking about the cliche a dude walks away from a ginormous explosion. Lalo told Nacho to torch one of Gus' restaurants, I guess part of some plan to make him look bad in front of the cartel. Nacho was a mole by that point, so Gus had to let him go through with it (and actually do most of it himself) to maintain Nacho's cover.johnnyblaze36 said:I totally forgot about that Gus scene. What?? Nippy was a great episode. It was also an important one. It was the first all-Gene episode that gave us a deeper look at his life post-BB. It showed us that Saul is actually a worse person than we were originally led to believe. And he can't shake this part of his past self and continues to con people, including sweet old ladies.aTmAg said:Yes. Fly was the worst episode of the series. Nippy? That episode was not slow. It was excellent
Remember Fly? THAT was slow
But Nippy was on par with that. Hell just scroll up in this thread and read the complaints about it. And that is from people who have been die hard enough to stick the whole show up to now.

Tonight's finale is 71 minutes officially. With commercials, I can see how it gets to 1:38, but for those streaming it won't be that long. Still, it'll be the longest ever episode at 20 or so minutes longer than usual.
