I think it ends w Saul on the run again. This time w barely any money. Leaves the door open some for a revisit to this universe down the road.

I think Saul ends up in jail. I think we'll see him as Jimmy, Saul, and Gene this episode, but spend most of our time with Gene.

I disagree. That would not be a conclusion to the story, and if anything Vince Gilligan and Co. know they need to give fans a conclusion.

They did that perfectly with BB, giving a satisfying ending but leaving a few things for fans to answer for themselves. Though I guess they did answer some of that in "El Camino" (unnecessary IMHO).

A vague ending for secondary character like Jesse on the run is fine, but you can't have an ending with the main character still on the run.

One of my favorite little Easter eggs from the call with Francesca was how surprised he seemed to be to find out that the cops figured out his Laser Tag money laundering scheme.

Skyler mocked that idea in BB and pushed him toward the car wash for Walt's money, which means that Saul chose laser tag for his own money and the Feds sniffed it out.

This is such a fun Easter egg. Great find
Skyler could have tipped them on it and everything else she knows in exchange for a lenient deal.

I don't think we see any kind of trial go down.

Just doesn't seem like enough time to go through Gene being on the run, getting arrested, then trial.

A trial would be boring as hell. I assume they won't do that.

Promo still for the episode makes it appear at least part of it is still in black and white.

Did Skyler even know about the laser tag place?

I think Gene tries to go see Kim and she helps the feds catch him.

Flashback: Bob Odenkirk Plays Charles Manson as Lassie-esque Companion

Charles Manson's place in pop culture was already well established by the early 1990s, with the provocative, baiting convict portrayed in film and television as a serious criminal ringleader. But Bob Odenkirk, who would later find success on Mr. Show, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, created the most singular performance of the cult leader in 1992, turning the deranged criminal into man's best f(r)iend on the revered, short-lived The Ben Stiller Show.

Simply titled "Manson," the skit finds a long-haired, bearded Odenkirk in a 1950s Lassie-styled TV show wildly gesticulating, violently blinking and going on semi-coherent, gibberish-filled rants like his real-life counterpart. ("You want to talk to Mrs. Wilson? Why don't you want to talk to Charlie? You think if you don't talk to me, I'll go away, but I can't go away because I'm not even here! I'm a ghost of a phantom of a shadow in the heart of your children!")

Saul tried to sell her on the laser tag idea when she first met Saul in his office with Walt.

You're telling me you didn't like Chicanery? The whole storyline, even if you didn't like it, is worth it for that one episode.

Chuck was essential to understanding - and essentially produced - Jimmy's entire psychological state/complex. Without Chuck there is no Saul. I agree that the show was better after Chuck left, but those Chuck seasons were absolutely crucial.

Kim seemed pretty real with yep yep all over her.

Can't believe you'd insinuate this show isn't actually happening in real life

Thanks, I thought it was funny but recognize only people old enough to remember the Ben Stiller show would even have a chance of also laughing. But isn't it enough to waste people's time as long as it makes at least one person happy, even if that one person is me?

The thing that bothered me most was the whole electromagnetic phobia. I couldn't get myself to care.

It reminded me of a movie called "Copycat" with Sigourney Weaver where she was an expert on serial killers who just so happened to have a phobia of leaving her house. Of course the serial killer winds up in her house and she just CAN'T LEAVE!! It was just a lazy way for the writers to add bogus tension. A better writer would have been able to do so without having to use a phobia crutch.

While Chuck was not nearly as bad as that, I think they could have told that story without having him with that condition. It was a distraction that annoyed me. It was the only part of the show that I couldn't get myself to trust the genius of that writing staff and assume that something great was going to come out of it.

The BCS setup for both Saul via Chuck and for Mike getting connected to the local crime scene was definitely a slow burn. But I still enjoyed it and can't say I'd change it because it was necessary. Maybe it could be accelerated a bit, but all the key steps needed to be hit

I'm okay with everything except the weird phobia. The Mike cop scenes were amazing (he should have gotten an an award for that). Chuck was acted well, etc. I'm even okay with the slow burn. Just that electromagnetic thing rubbed me the wrong way.

Is anybody else worried that no finale can live up to your expectations? BB finale was perfect, and I worry that anything that doesn't match or surpass that will leave me disappointed. Where in isolation I may think it was great in every way.
