So how does the Lalo standoff end? And what does he expect to get out of Kim and Saul? I don't get what he expects to get out of them this time that he couldn't get out last time. Seems like a strange move on his part.

I'm not going to mince on the timeline because obviously they were pushing it. Camera guy saying he needs just the right amount of time, Saul negotiating with the stand in.
Beautiful how they set up the Lalo nest at the beginning. So now Lalo has the tape for Don Eladio for "proof", I guess that gets buried with him later on. And he's stuck with Hector knowing he's avenging the Salamancas, but no way to communicate it.
Well, his plan was to kill all the guards and film the inside of the drug lab Fring was building - but thwarted by the Chicken Man due to the phone tap on the nursing home line. So he is improvising a bit - threw off Mike and protection with the fake phone message about attacking Gus, then instead when to Jimmy's. He never felt right about that exchange with Kim and Jimmy in the apartment before he headed down to Mexico, he's back to get the full story. I don't know if filming a Jimmy confession (Mike from Gus's crew was there to protect me when I picked up your money) would be proof enough, but Lalo suspects Jimmy may be involved in the overall plot to push the Salamancas out and kill him in Mexico.aTmAg said:

Lalo has already seen the empty hole that will someday be a lab. He asked about the north/south wall (I forget what direction). Gus and Mike had a cover story for all of that. Not sure any of that would provide "proof".Complete Idiot said:Well, his plan was to kill all the guards and film the inside of the drug lab Fring was building - but thwarted by the Chicken Man due to the phone tap on the nursing home line. Proof enough for major suspicion and confrontation with Gus, that's why I put it in quotes. Why are you guarding a laundry 24/7? Don Eladio gonna say the Chicken Man likes his uniforms really clean? Lalo knows Mike is involved, Mike was involved with Werner, etc.aTmAg said:Proof of what? That Gus has a bunch of muscle at the laundry?Tony Franklins Other Shoe said:

The only thing I can think of is threaten Kim and Saul to try to get Mike to fess up to them somehow. But I can't think of how that ends without either Saul/Kim dying (highly unlikely since Saul is walking around in BB) or Lalo getting killed by Mike (but Saul would know that).

I think Howard's death was perhaps the most tragic death in all of the BB/BCS universe.
Although Hank's death was very sad, he died doing what he believed in, standing tall.
Not only was Nacho in the game, he also had the best death possible considering his circumstances. Died on his own terms and got what he wanted the most in the entire world: his father's safety.
Although Chuck was innocent as far as the law goes, he was far from a blameless victim. He was deceptive and malevolent towards his brother, and you can argue that he played a very important role in his demise.
But Howard was actually just tragic. He didn't do anything remotely close to justify Kim and Jimmy's wrath. What's even worse is that not only is he innocent and definitely not in the game, his death was absolutely meaningless. He didn't die for some value he held in extremely high regard. He didn't die because he had it coming.
Most deaths in this universe are either somewhat justified by the character's actions or martyrish in nature. Meanwhile Howard's death was meaningless and ultimately pathetic.
Pretty sad if you ask me
I like how the actor played Howard in the final scene, still in control of himself but a little more loose, more confident, a little more emotionally open due the drinking he had been doing - but certainly not a wild drunk. Not quite as uptight, tightly wound, with the clipped speech - a bit more of a relatable Howard who was not trying to perform as the prim and proper son of a upper class lawyer.torrid said:
