The slow build up and burn always results in a big payoff with this writing crew. What an awesome episode. The predictions between now and July 11th regarding what Lalo is going to do with Kim and Jimmy should be first rate.

He isn't completely heartless. He let the widow Ziegler live. There was at least reason for killing Howard. He was witness to Lalo meeting with Kim and Jimmy, so Lalo couldn't let him live.

What? That showed he was not a good person? After killing the Travel Wire guy? It was just a few episodes ago that he killed a couple immigrant smugglers. And killing a body double just so he could appear dead himself.

But now I know, not a good person.

People like the character because it's fun and he's a worthy adversary for Fring. But good person?

This sorta explains why Saul, in his first appearance in BB, was relieved and happy to be kneeling in front of a hole with a gun to the back of his head. Because it wasn't Lalo holding that gun.

That was just an amazing unravel from start to finish, and oh my goodness was a performance by Howard in the apartment.


The only thing more stressful than this show?

This and Breaking Bad are two of the only "dark" shows that my ultra conservative mom has watched and wanted to talk about all the way through. Tonight I happen to be at their house so the three of us sat down to watch the new episode, and about two minutes before it started I realized that neither of them had any idea that BCS takes place before Breaking Bad. I nearly got up and left right then and there.

I dunno... The killing of Hank > killing of Howard. The fight in the kitchen, Skyler crying in the street, Walt's phone call to Skyler, etc. Ozymandias alone had several epic moments that would each be series defining in any other show. Today's BCS had one: killing of Howard.

I kind of wanted to her a Kim answer to Howard's question of "why?". I thought we might get some interesting reveal about her character, and it was a good question and one I have as well.

Howard was actually quite on the ball throughout. Yes, he was a step behind the Jimmy and Kim TEAM but it was just one step or even just a half step.

As someone who sits through these about every 3 months, the old lady's comment about is this normal was perfect.

So what do they do with Howard's body?

We know that Saul isn't arrested for murder, so they have to dispose of it some way. No tubs of acid around either.

Best guess is they frame it to look like he got shot trying to buy drugs, then having to further sully the reputation of a man they just destroyed.
