It was a bit shoehorned, especially how they had her stargaze for all of about 2 minutes so they could start and wrap up the scene. But I didn't mind the content and totally get what they are going for.

The pictures that Kim or Saul had of the 'fake mediator' looked very similar to the photos the PI showed to Hamlin.
Is Hamlin's PI actually working for Kim/Saul? I know Saul had his "film students" take pictures, but those pics have to get to Hamlin's PI.
And they definitely had to make sure the PI caught Jimmy getting the cash from the bank and seeing the 4 stacks of cash. that's too much to leave to chance.

That's what I am guessing as well.
It seemed clear to me that it was a nightly routine that Mike set up so he could see his granddaughter every day. And the mom is not going to tolerate her daughter sitting out there for an hour every day before bed. Lalo is casting a wide swath - causing terror in Fring and his crew, in Saul and Kim, and he's visiting and/or brutalizing people in Germany (or Eastern Europe, whatever).

I was going to suggest this a couple of days ago but talked myself out of it. Since Jimmy and Kim have inside knowledge of HHM, you would think they would know who Howard's go to guy would be and they would just need to beat him to the punch.91_Aggie said:

They know about golf and timing, they knew about the shrink visit. Howard is OCD so easy to predict his movements.
But then why would the PI go along with it? A part of the settlement money? Seems farfetched but plausible.

If that is the case I'm sure Jimmy & Kim simply paid the PI more than Hamlin.
Or they knew he would hire a PI and they setup all of these different meetings that the PI would take pictures of. Why would they have to hire the PI if he is already surveiling them? If you know you're being watched, you can take actions that paint whatever picture you want them to have.

I went to verify that I was set to record Monday's show and saw that both episode 7 and episode 8 will be shown next Monday.

Last season when they were in the fancy hotel hiding from Lalo, they mentioned that the "worst" that could happen would being disbarred. I feel they were foreshadowing to Kimmy

It's only somewhat believable due to the fact Jimmy embarrassed her in front of Mesa Verde, didn't include her in what the angle was until after she was made to look foolish. Then she was upset and seemed about to break up but instead suggested they should get married. It was odd, but it still seems too mean spirited for Kim to do that to Jimmy, someone she did love.

But every time anyone questions Jimmy around her, or questions her being with him, she defends him and their relationship very strongly. I don't think she's pulling a con on Jimmy, but I at least like the fact the writer's are putting things out there to make you wonder. I just think she's making foolish choices and they will bite her.

OK, some serious speculation. While Howard was making the fancy coffee that his estranged wife didn't appreciate, he was making himself chamomile tea. Chamomile tea doesn't have any caffeine. Considering both what the vet set about caffeine and the pupil dilation drug and how Lydia was killed in "Breaking Bad", do you see where I'm thinking this may be headed?
Howard was a villain as the beginning of the series, but they have been remaking him into a more sympathetic yet tragic character. They almost seem to be setting him up for a fall.
