So July 11th and we back.

I want to start watching that show Severance, but I don't want to have more than one show going at a time.

Once you get engaged in a show like this, you're in it. I can't be starting another show right in the middle of it.

It don't work that way.

You have three weeks to knock out nine episodes of Severance. Super doable. Also, Severance is the best show of the year so far and totally worth it.

That was my first thought, mainly because Burnett has roughly the same look/vibe as the actress who plays Kim's mom in the flashbacks, just older.

Not that this show has any problems with actors way older than the alleged age of their character, but I'd think Burnett may be more likely to be Kim's grandmother - mom of her mom - than Kim's mom. I saw some article that said Jimmy and Chuck mentioned a "Marion" in season 2?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned.....but today I found out that Juan Bolsa is Spanish for Johnny Sack.

The mannerisms, and clothing style of Juan Bolsa now make sense. He represents the classic middle manager whose only concerned about money.

His whole character is a nod to the Sopranos.

I can't recall that impacting a show I've watched before, but maybe this is more common than I realize? I don't think it would be a fake excuse if they specifically mention an HBO contract - I assume it's legitimately why he wasn't able to film BCS.

Lalo has to be dead, I think. The only way he could be alive is if the cartel turned on him and chose Chicken Man over him, which doesn't really make sense.

I think Kim is still out there. There has to be something keeping Jimmy/Saul/Gene going and I think there will be some sort of reunion or sighting in Omaha.

Four years is a long time, so I don't have a problem with Jimmy fully becoming Saul in that timeline.

100% Lalo is going to die in BCS. There is no way a major Salamanca character could be alive throughout BB and not make an appearance, for whatever reason.

If Kim dies I might legitimately grieve. She would become such a tragic character whose life was destroyed by another, similar to Skylar (though she lived).

A Kim/Saul reunion in the post-BB world would be satisfying.

Cant wait for Monday...

For that reason I think the old "Kim" from the past is dead. the new Kim will either be evil or completely broken by what happened and need to start a new life.

I'm sticking by my belief that there's no way they kill off Kim. She's alive in the Gene timeline. I 100% feel that way.
