Killed me not to get Kendrick on there. GKMC and TPAB would have been 11 and 12 for me.

Well... time to see how harsh posters are on each other, lol.

So many great songs and albums out there. However, I had to choose the ones that I can listen to anytime, without pressing the skip button. These are the albums I look forward to hearing from track 1 through the last track of the record.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Led Zeppelin - III
Led Zeppelin - IV
Green Day - American Idiot
Green Day - Dookie
Weezer - Blue Album
Meatloaf - Bat Out of Hell
Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
Coheed and Cambria - The Unheavenly Creatures

Agreed. It was the third album I ever bought. To this day, I am so angry I didn't go to the Pop Disaster tour during my freshman year of high school. What an amazing tour I missed.

However... Futures may just beat it, for me. 23, Kill, Pain, Work, Futures... amazing album.

I went to Pop Disaster in Dallas, great show. If I remember correctly Mark Hoppus wore a Nash Jersey which was cool to see.

I went to the one in San Antonio. Someone stole my bike rack off my jeep.

Green Day killed it.

In no particular order:

1. Fever Ray - Fever Ray
2. The Knife - Silent Shout
3. VNV Nation - Futureperfect
4. Arcadia - So Red the Rose
5. Duran Duran - Rio
6. Depeche Mode - Violator
7. Syntax - Meccano Mind
8. Enya - Watermark
9. Moby - Play
10. The Cure - Disintegration

All three in my top 10 also. Well I go back and forth between Vilolator and Black Celebration depending on what mood I'm in.

Would take me some thinking to come up with a full 10 but PJ "No Code" and Radiohead "Ok Computer" are definitely in the 10.

Way too difficult of a question… but I can say for certain the albums listed below I have played the most personally.

E.1999 Eternal- Bone.
Sounds of silver- LCD
this is happening- LCD
Doolittle- Pixies
Funeral - arcade fire
Moon and Antarctica- modest mouse
good News for people who love bad news- MM
Third eye blind - self titled
Modern vampires of the city- vampire wknd
Blue- third eye blind

This will probably change next year. And I'm sure I've made a list in the past with 10 different entries.

Alright finished up my list. Went back and forth on a few but here's my top 10. If I made the same list in a few months or next year it would likely have a difference or two.

  • Ten - Pearl Jam - This album immediately came to mind for me when starting this list out. This is hands down my favorite album of all time and I feel safe saying that. So many great songs and excellent from start to finish.
  • Silent Alarm - Bloc Party - Had to throw this in there, too damn catchy. Has been a fun band to follow.
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas - Vince Guaraldi Trio - Enough said.
  • A Long Way From Your Heart - Turnpike Troubadours - The most recent release from them, it's actually my favorite.
  • Diamond Eyes - Deftones - Used the "pick a favorite album from a favorite band" on this. Could have gone with a different album or even two from them probably, but this one I listened to a ton the summer after it came out.
  • Lullabies to Paralyze - Queens of the Stone Age - Little Sister is one of the best rock songs ever, and it is nestled smack dab in the middle of this great album.
  • Kind of Blue - Miles Davis - Love listening to this one on vinyl. Iconic.
  • First Impressions of Earth - The Strokes - Awesome garage rock
  • Ride the Lightning - Metallica - Has 2 of my top Metallica songs, and I really like the sound and feel of this album out of their catalogue.
  • Arctic Monkeys - AM - Awesome sound and songs. The intro track was played quite a bit. The second track, R U Mine?, needs to be played very loud if you haven't heard it before.

Revised list using the "Favorite Album from my Top 10 Favorite Artists" method: (thanks again to rankingengine.pubmeeple.com)

1. Rush - Moving Pictures
2. Silbermond - Laut Gedacht

This is too dang hard to narrow. I'm old AF, so I went through disco, 80's pop, 80's dance/alternative, 70's-80's rock, old school hip hop, 70's-80's country, grunge, and in a family of musicians was educated on jazz, big band, classical and the Beatles. Narrowing to 10 is impossible.

Metallica - Master of Puppets

Can't believe this didn't make page 1. Best effen metal album of all time.

I don't know if I could do a top 10 across the board. I can barely even do it for metal, and I listen to a lot of other music.

In metal;
master of puppets
and justice for all
slaughter of the soul - at the gates
demanufacture - Fear factory
storm of the lights bane - Dissection
october rust - Type O
ghost reveries - opeth
Infestissumam - ghost
Jester race - in flames
Vulgar display - pantera

Then for rock
AIC dirt and jar of flies
Tool lateralus
STP Core
Muse absolution
APC mer de noms
PJ - Ten
Candlebox self titled
Blue october - history for sale
Pushmonkey - Maize

Then other stuff like Ray Lamontagne's first album, Elliot smith XO, Chris cornell euphoria morning, maroon 5 songs for jane, a handful of devin townsed albums like synchestra, transcendence and empath that don't really fit a genre.

I assume greatest hits don't count, cause then I add Elton, Beatles, Eagles etc.

Lol... abbreviations. I worked out Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pearl Jam. Don't know what APC is, off the top of my head, and am too lazy to google.

I first checked to see if you posted on your phone... nope, typed it. Help a brother out and type out the name!
