I was telling my wife that Spider-Man is never really meant to be this universe fighting hero who we have to constantly escalate the villains he fights. He's the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This was a great way to reset the scope of his world to let it be the fun movies they will probably be going forward.

Watched last night. This was a fantastic f'ing movie. Top 5 MCU, easily. We went into this largely blind as I never really paid attention to this when it came out.

I've always said that Garfield was way underrated as Spider-Man. I watched his movies not all too long ago and thought he did great. And he was the best thing in this movie as others have said. Just amazing. Willem is a legend and was incredible as well.

Not sure how i feel about Venom being in the MCU now; those movies are kind of trash although i haven't watched the newest one yet. Guess that means the partnership between Sony and Marvel isn't ending anytime soon though but if they can put out product like this I'm cool with it.

Random: we rented through Prime and if you look at the actor portraits Ned is bald and is wearing this shirt completely unbuttoned with this look like he's some kind of badass. Really funny.

Also, 'Are you gonna go into battle dressed as a cool youth pastor?'
