I was at the gym last Saturday, and when I looked up at one of the TVs I saw a news segment featuring sneakers. There was no audio, but I filed it away for later. Just found the 8 min story on YouTube. Most of it focuses on women's shoes, but I still found it worthwhile.

They definitely have more padding and run a little more narrow to me. I wouldn't say it's a size up difference unless you are already at the top end of the size you wear or have a wide foot.

If you have wide feet, I'd definitely half size up. If I get my normal size in 4s, it kills my pinky toes
