I don't have them, but this question comes up every so often on this thread and it seems like the consensus answer is that the golf shoes are fine for everyday wear

While I don't personally own any of the J1 golf shoes several people on here wear them off the course.

Keep in mind, the black and whites from last week are the 85 retro so they have a higher collar than that pair and have a shape more similar to the original 1s. All that to say that they are a different shoe than the one you posted, but if you only care about the color then yeah virtually no difference (other than the outsole).

The collar on the OG 85s is also white, whereas the golf highs is black. Small difference, but worth noting. I really wanted the 85 black and whites after watching a weartesters on them. Seem like they will appreciate quite a bit in the coming years.



One pro in the golf column is that they are all waterproof, at least across the toe box. I have two pair of the lows and I wear one out and about and nobody has every said anything. The traction is fairly minor compared to what you might expect in a spikeless golf shoe, so it's not like they are awkward to wear. I don't even really mind the log on the tongue. It's kind of like wearing a rhoback shirt out to dinner. It's a golf shirt, but it passes. Same with these shoes in my mind.

Squat doubles at 80%. More effective than psychotherapy, and cheaper to boot.

My wrists aren't flexible enough for front squats amd I hate them haha. Love me some back squats though.
