I tried on the New Balance FuelCell Rebel V4's the other day at Dick's and they are at the top of the list of most comfortable sneaker of several reviewers for good reason. Comfy foam stack, stable, breathable, and not terrible looking. These annihilate my Ultra Boost 1.0s and Ultra Boost lights. I'm waiting for a more neutral colorway that I like to come out and then I'm scooping a pair.

The giant wedge shaped heel ultra boosts are terrible. The original ones are incredibly comfortable. It's a shame they call the new ones ultra boosts because they don't feel the same at all.

I'll review the On's after my first run. The first pair of legit running shoes they fit me in was a pair of Brook's Ghost Max. I've really enjoyed them and went in fully intending to buy another pair.

I wound up trying these on and preferred their responsivness over the Brook's.

I ran in these for the first time today. They were excellent. Much different from the Brooks Ghost Max. Less cushiony and much more responsive. For what it's worth, I did tell the sales associate that I was focused on form and driving my legs underneath my hips to create power and these were 1 of the 3 pairs he gave me to try.

That said…I set a new personal speed record on my 5k today so…

I love my 1s but not my first choice for putting in the miles...

It really depends on the materials. For the most part, Dunks won't give you much of a problem, aside from maybe the glue. It also depends on if you are looking at shoes that are DS or not. The "leather" on a DS shoe that's 14-15 years old will be prone to cracking. However, if they were creased in those spots back when it was fresh, they will be better off.

Where you really have to worry about age is on Jordan 3s and 4s, Air Maxes, and really any show that has a lot of foam and polyurethane on them. You see them separate all the time around the air pockets, and the poly will crumble and the whole sole splits and tears off. Dunks and AJ1s are mostly rubber outsoles, and while it can crack if they haven't been worn and have hardened up, it takes substantially longer.
