Yes.

People are down on J1s and dunks now, so if you collect because you like the silhouette (as opposed to trend chasing or reselling), there are so many deals to be had out there.

For example, those navy JPs (if that's what they are and I'm 99% on that) were like $350 a year ago, and can be had for a little over $200 now. Just a great time to love the AJ1s.

So what is trending up right now then? 3s and 4s?

Biggest price jumps is in ASICS. Adidas Sambas are popular. Some are on the J12s for some unknown reason. It's kind of like adidas boosts back in the day. Those used to be hard to get and J1s and Dunks were on sale. Then adidas flooded the market with colorways and they weren't hard to get anymore, and they ceased being "cool." Jordan and Nike have been flooding dunks and 1 colorways so here we are.

All the better for me.

I think Vomeros are super popular right now, too. "Dad shoes" are trendy.

It's been a while since I've seen Jordan's sit like they are now. And I can't get behind the Attacks. I don't like that silhouette at all.

While I appreciate the silhouette and have been through several pairs, Sambas are just so freakin' uncomfortable. I have been kinda wanting a pair of Gazelles recently though.

I do remember back in the day when literally the only cleat to have was a pair of Copas. The times they are a changin'.

Yeah, I actually can't comfortably wear normal sambas any more either in my advanced age.

I think part of it is the "opposite" effect. If you were to take iconic shoes and put them on a spectrum, you have the Jordan 4 and Jordan 5 on one side. It's a chunky shoe. Forces are right there with them. Dunks and 1s less so. On the other end of the spectrum is the sambas, gazelles, and stan smiths. Sleek low profile shoes.

Somewhere along the way, fashion folks look to stand out, so they go the opposite of what's trendy. Everyone is wearing baggy jeans, so they start wearing slim fit. Everyone starts wearing slim fit, so they go back to baggy jeans with oversized t-shirts. Now that everyone is wearing chunky shoes, they are going sleek. People follow suit.

Stock X. There was tax and shipping, but the sale price was $95.

Edit - sorry, I typed $90 earlier but it was $95. Still shocked they were that low.
