Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Stan Bush's "The Touch" from Transformers: The Movie, which swept the Oscars in 1987 - Best Picture, best Original Soundtrack, Best Actor in a Lead Role (Judd Nelson), Best Supporting Actor (Leonard Nimoy), etc. etc. It also produced the best scene in motion picture history, where Stan Bush's visionary triumph of guitar and vocal chemistry was on display. Out of thousands of hours of discussing said scene, I still ponder how the hell Optimus Prime can't dodge Megatron throwing a rock spear at him but can dodge a giant laser cannon being shot at him from 10 feet away.

Also Prime dies from multiple laser blasts right to the gut. Megatron dies from being pushed off a ledge and falling 30 feet.

Only 2 of the 5 groups have an entry above 50% today. Ben's group is pretty weak and the leader I think is artificially inflated, but that's the breaks.

I woke up this morning upset because I suspect that Richard Simmons on Whose Line is it Anyway didn't get nominated.

Similar experience here when it occurred to me that Elvis's rendition of Unchained Melody from 1977, Rapid City, SD, was not nominated. No one to blamed but myself though I missed the nomination deadline.

That's a great one!

While the performance itself was great, but standing alone, probably not one of Elvis's best. However when taken in the context of where he was in his life at that point, in the process of killing himself, the way he was able to pull that office is one of the most amazing things in entertainment history.

I love this random ass tourney.
Had to go with the Spies Like Us scene, that is so good. Also went with Not Penny's Boat episode of Lost. Did a rewatch of the series and that episode was crazy good. Way better if you watch it during the middle of a rewatch than randomly going to it not while watching Lost.
