I saw one of these in a shop in Lubbock today. Very cool. Surprisingly big, full sound unplugged. Didn't plug it in as I was afraid I'd have to buy it. The guy said he can't keep them in stock.

Was it the '52 from Fullers? I was eyeing one there and very tempting with their current sale.
Just ordered a Squier mustang for my 12 year old son for his birthday (it's right after Christmas). We'll see if it's any good after I get it here and set up.

Bought off Reverb for $2,800 and free shipping. I've been on the lookout for one with '51 pickups, ash body, soft v neck, and around 7 lbs. I've also been offering under $3k, because I don't want to go over that. Finally had one hit last night.
Date on this one is 2024. Brand new, it would probably be over $4,500.

I'm getting a new guitar organizer soon that should tidy up the place and allow me to access and play things quicker. Got a wall mount for my V as well. Pictures to follow.

Warmoth guitar build continues. Finished joining and glue up of the three piece Pale Moon Ebony top. Because it's 4 mm thick, I routed off about 3.5 mm from the body with a router sled. Glued the top to the body and rough finished the shape.
That's pretty sweet. What type of binding are you going to use?
Black plastic Warmoth binding. The back and sides will be satin black (Rubio Monocoat intense black pre color and Rubio black 2C , the top will have a satin natural Rubio 2C finish.StoutAg said:

It also makes me want to build another guitar. I have one I am supposed to build as a decoration for my wife's shop, so I guess I can do that to satisfy the itch. Maybe that will get me back in the mood to resolder some pots and replace a nut that's been on my "to do" list for a few months.
My wife is from Laos. Pale Moon Ebony was imported from Laos until the government stopped exports in about 2019. So I'm building this guitar to honor her. Nice! I was going to do an Aggie themed guitar for my first one and couldn't quite get a design worked up in my head that I would like. That sounds a lot like I was going to do. I have a guy that will make custom fret markers. If I can get him to make little footballs, that would be awesome. I plan on doing a Blackguard build with parts (MJT body, Warmoth neck, etc) soon. Don't have the woodworking skills to do the body myself.

This is a deal. I really liked these when I tried one while looking for my first electric. The only one near me was pink and I wasn't crazy about that idea, but it played great.

I play every Sunday at church. Nothing fancy, just basic chords alongside piano and sometimes percussion. Playing a Taylor 514ce I bought from a good Ag on here, and so far I've just been plugged straight into the sound system. I'm looking to add something to give me a little more control over my sound and maybe light effects, and have been looking at the Fishman ToneDEQ. Any thoughts on that product for my use case and/or any others I should be checking out?

First time posting on this thread, but been following/drooling for a while. I haven't had an electric guitar in about 10 years, and recently really started to miss playing music. So as I was moving my amp, that I for some reason held onto over that same 10 years, I figured it was time to fix this situation. I went with this PRS Silver Sky SE. I wasn't ready to spend the money on my dream guitars (that'll come later), but definitely wanted better than my old setup.
Of course when it came in, that amp I've toted around for 20+ years decided it was tired and wanted to at least play dead (haven't tinkered with it much to find out the problem yet) so I'd have an excuse for my wife on why I need to upgrade that situation too. On the amp side, I splurged a bit more and went the buy once cry once route and bought the only amp I'll ever need - Fender Deluxe Reverb 65. Of course when I saw it in "maroon" I knew which version I was getting. I have definitely fallen back in love with and am happy to be playing again.

Ha, main reason I went deluxe instead of twin, loud, but not twin loud.
Oh, and the old amp was a 200w 2x12, so this is dialing it back just a little.

Quietly playing my acoustics from time to time. Played in bands forever from high school through A&M, but mostly drums or bass. Just realized lately how much I missed really playing and my wife said no drum set in our current house.
