My wife is from Laos. Pale Moon Ebony was imported from Laos until the government stopped exports in about 2019. So I'm building this guitar to honor her. I already have my next build in mind....an Aggiecaster, lol.StoutAg said:That's awesome. I'm stoked to see how it turns out!slaughtr said:Black plastic Warmoth binding. It also makes me want to build another guitar. I have one I am supposed to build as a decoration for my wife's shop, so I guess I can do that to satisfy the itch. Maybe that will get me back in the mood to resolder some pots and replace a nut that's been on my "to do" list for a few months.
Nice! I was going to do an Aggie themed guitar for my first one and couldn't quite get a design worked up in my head that I would like. Now that I am re-thinking it, maybe I could do a white pick guard with a maroon ATM built into it. Then match the guitar to that color of maroon.slaughtr said:My wife is from Laos. That sounds a lot like I was going to do. I have a guy that will make custom fret markers. If I can get him to make little footballs, that would be awesome. I also thought about a Shou sugi ban effect to honor bonfire.StoutAg said:Nice!
