My Sales Engineer called me today to thank me for the sale. We talked guitars a bit.

He said he never got the message to call me that was promised by the rep I talked to on Sunday. He said they should have just processed my order then instead of telling me to order on Monday. He apologized for that.

It's possible I'll have the guitar by the weekend but more likely it's next week.

He had them swap yours out for a used Ibanez Gio that had been left in the back dash of an Oldsmobile Delta 88.

Guitar supposed to arrive Monday.

It's made it from IN to OH so far. It's been there for 8 hours already. Put it on a plane or a truck and let's go!!!

What time do the big trucks get to the local distribution center? If I show up there at 4am and ask them to find guitar so "I can save them a trip", will they have me escorted from the property?

I've called to have it held there before so I don't have to worry about missing the truck and not being able to sign.

When I ordered the PRS Tremonti I had in college I missed the driver and called them and they called the driver and got him to come back. He was irritated but I didn't have to wait an extra day for my guitar.

Funny you should ask. Several years ago on NYE in Austin I was going to see the band Ghostland Observatory and the theme was the 90's. So I figured I'd go 90's rave style and ordered a pair of 50 " JNCO jeans.

I ordered them a couple of days before with the fastest delivery available and kept tracking them and they didn't arrive in time in College Station. So on NYE I went to the Fed Ex distribution center in Austin and there was only one worker there. I told him my dilemma and sure enough he went in the back and found them. And then proceeded to tell me they were badass! lol. Obviously they were a one and done wear for me but he saved the evening nonetheless.

ETA: Btw trying to walk/dance in 50" JNCO jeans is the biggest beating of all time.

So... originally, this wasn't expected until Wednesday, so I have no idea how it got here so early. NGD!:



Been keeping an eye out for one I could snag at a good price. All the ones I've seen appear have been 2019-2022 models. I love that those are wraparound bridges, but I just can't enjoy playing on that fat of a neck. This one has a perfect slimmer neck and is a 1996 model, so technically is "vintage" (over 25 years old). I think it has P-100's in it, but I have set of Seymour Duncan antiquities to stick in there as soon as my Emerson control kit gets here.

The fretboard is very nice and dark, which is always my preference. Looking forward to getting this set of pickups in there!

How ya liking that Tone King? I have my eye on one due to the built in attenuator and its sweet clean tones. Just need the right price on Reverb.

I love the Tone King. Honestly, I have the other two because I think I need that "Marshall" thing every once in a while, but I just find myself always wanting to go back to the Tone King because it just gives me my favorite tones. There's something very warm but clear, bright and articulate about my sound when I plug into it. I just kind of feel my pick in the notes when I play, which is something I don't get from the other amps. It's hard to describe, but it almost feels... spongy and percussive? Like I can hear how much I dig into the note with my pick.

The only downside for the combo version is sometimes the frequencies rattle the springs in the reverb tank, but that's just par for the course.

The built-in attenuator is also fantastic, and allows me to play with great smooth crunch at reasonable volumes. I have an Ironman II Mini that I tried to use on my other amps, and it just isn't the same. This attenuator in the amp must be worth $400-500, itself. I keep it turned off on the clean channel, but have it on for the lead channel. I actually usually stay on the lead channel, because I love that "Tweed" sound. It also works great as a pedal platform for every pedal I have.

I'm a big fan.

That is more for extremes. Pull out the case and feel it. If the case is very cold or very hot, then let it sit around for an hour, first.
