Have you looked online at The Tone Shop?
have been there in years, but Evans used to be decent if memory serves me correct. Also Rocking Robbins was pretty solid for electricsDallasTeleAg said:Okay. I'm going to ask again, so you know it is an honest question. What other store in the greater Houston area has a better Electric selection?Echoes97 said:
Not *as* good for electrics, but not bad either.
Not in number of guitars, but in quality of guitars. I would love to have another place to add to my guitar safari locations.

They've got two locations now if you're going to be closer to Southlake. Don't know how it stacks up to the original in Addison though.
goes to show you how long I haven't been to the old school places in Houston.maroon barchetta said:
Evans closed in 2018.
Rockin' Robin is part guitar store, part guitar museum. They don't seem to build Robin guitars anymore. And they don't have a lot of new stuff coming in on the electric side.

I don't think they could have gotten more wrong if they tried.

You ain't supposed to. Just give the gubmint some money every time something changes hands and it will all be good. It's for your own good afterall....Quincey P. Morris said:
I remember hearing this was coming a while back. I'm just not sure what they're collecting taxes on. I'd think the only thing you could collect taxes on would be the profit, not the whole sale price so what do you do? Keep your receipt for everything you purchase into perpetuity so you can prove how much you did or didn't profit? Functionally I don't understand how this is supposed to work.

Let's hope they are bad enough at their jobs to overvalue the Martin 000C-16RGTE that I'm about to try and trade and give me the high end of the range on Reverb

And... They did not. Value was fair, offer was not. Anybody in the market?

So, apparently Reverb will now require you to fill out tax information on your account before they will fund your sales, moving forward.
The IRS is requiring them to report on any sales you make over $600 and will generate a 1099 at the end of the year. Government gonna government.
I was able to get funded on my PRS CE sale I just made, but that will be the last thing I sell on the platform while big brother is getting heavy handed.
... that's as tame as I will get on the guitar thread, to avoid bringing politics in here. Just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention.
Here's the notification:
Sam Bankman-Fried: I don’t know where $10 billion dollars went

The Pentagon: We don’t know where $2.2 trillion dollars went
The IRS: You just sent $601.37 don’t forget to report it.
