For those maybe unfamiliar, the Rig Rundown videos put out by Premier Guitar are really cool. This one featuring Ben Harper is my favorite considering he's my single favorite musician. Lots of other good ones on youtube as well.

As for the posts discussing signed instruments, I have a Ben Harper lap steel guitar that is also a skateboard that I got in 2003 the day they were released. Cole Clark guitars was supposed to make 1,000 but stopped the production run and I found out from the CEO a year ago that there are only 27 in existence and not all the same as there were different prototypes.

I met Ben Harper at Cain's Ballroom in the fall of 2019 and he signed it so it's definitely 1/1 and certainly added to the value. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Concluded my first sale on Reverb today. Wondered why I was missing ~$25 more than I thought I should have been and found their payment handling fee. And they charge sales tax to the buyer even for individual sales. Are they all doing that now? I get it if somebody's buying from a business, but charging tax for buying from an individual on a private sale?

Incoming new guitar day. Got some other electrics sold and picked up this 2002 PRS CE22 (with the consent of my wife this time).

Side note, anybody know how much a Will Boggs Heaven/Hell pickup set is worth. I can't find much on them and people seem somewhat polarized. Sounds like the dude got big and then took a bunch of orders and stole people's money. On the other hand it seems like a lot of folks thought pretty highly of the hardware.

Haha. Ran across this one and had to pull the trigger. Solid price, great color, old school top carve. Now I just got to figure out if I'm going to keep these Will Boggs pickups. If I do, they're getting covers. I'm not digging the zebra look on this one.

It's never really been my thing particularly but that dude refinishing his PRS that I posted before opened my eyes to it. Then this one showed up on Reverb and more importantly on Facebook Marketplace where I didn't have to pay sales tax. I took it as a sign. Helps that purple is my wife's favorite color.

Just got this in today along with the custom hanger I had made from that etsy merchant I mentioned on the first page. Jimmy Page signature Dragon Fender Telecaster. The engraved signature on the metal plate on the back is really nice. She sounds killer even despite the fact that I do not.

Nice tele. When I bought my CS Tele, I had played the Jimmy Page Mirror Signature. I wasn't a fan of the neck on that one. Is the dragon Tele neck as thin and skinny?

DallasTeleAg-I'm not really sure as I've not handled the other one but it is pretty skinny which feels good to me personally since my hands are not giant. At this stage I'm much more of a collector than a player. I take weekly lessons but unfortunately don't practice near enough to be worth a lick. But I'm working on that and buying new toys helps keep me inspired to play more often as pathetic as that may sound.

That is AWESOME man!!! Congrats!!! I'm a huge LZ/JP fan myself, I'm quite jealous of that axe. I do have a JP axe of my own, here's my ~1997 JP Edition Les Paul. Basically a '59 Reissue w/ the same electronics and specs as JP's main guitar. Bought this new in 1998 or 1999, still my main go to guy. I took the pick guard off a while back, but it has the JP signature on it. Love this guitar:

What is the neck like on that one?

I'm I love my '02 Standard, but I'm interested to play an R8 or R9 and see if they are any better.

Hey man, yep the rear tone knobs do the push/pull in/out of phase stuff. Crazy tone options, though truthfully I don't use those all that often. I'll have to start messing around with them again!

The neck is pretty medium I'd say, it's not as fat as a '58 type neck for sure. Probably on the slimmer side for LPs. TBH I've played a long time, but just don't go to music shops and play all that often, so it's rare that I get to play a variety of guitars outside of friends and bandmates. Like I say I believe the neck is more or less a '59 type though.

The sassafras makes me want to at try out one of these - Really cool story on his guitar. I think the custom shop version is going for about $9K.

Dallas-FW peoples- are there any pawn shops in the area that ever have cool stuff? I know it's not like the good old days when you'd find good things, but on occasion you'll see something worth having.

I'll be there for the guitar show on April 30th-May 1st. I'm coming in on Thursday and would like to hit up something besides Guitar Center, Sam Ash, and the Tone Shop..
