I dont think we should over-think the background. Someone mentioned Scrubs...that's a good example. It's a great show that happens at a hospital, but it wasnt exactly medically accurate. But who cares...it was fun the way it was.
Do you mean Dr. Jan Itor?AgGrad99 said:
Haha. Dude, the janitor treated a patient in an episode.
My favorite show currently. It's fantastic and Ted makes me want to be the best version of myself. 10/10.Azariah said:
No thread on this yet?
Showrunner Bill Lawrence with David Sudekis. Built on the NBC Sports sketch from a few years ago where an American football coach is hired to run an EPL team.
It's on AppleTV+. Three episodes out as of 8/14, and it is outstanding. It needs a couple of episodes to settle in, but by the end of the third I was hooked and furious that there were no more out.

That's amazing. And I was just thinking about how sad it was that there was no new Lasso today.

That weird, they deleted it off the AFC Richmond Twitter. It was a little video montage to the Roy Kent chant.

That's exactly what this show did to my gf and our friends. Ted is such a great person.TexAgBolter said:
Wife and I just binged this show. I suggested it after reading the first page of this thread.
What a great show. I went in hoping for a few laughs, but this gripped us emotionally 1000% more than I ever expected. Shame it is only on Apple TV. Jason Sudeikis deserves an Emmy.

Football is life! But even if you don't care about sports, you should still watch "Ted Lasso" on Apple TV+. It's a very funny show that's also full of empathy and respect for its characters, which never goes for the cheap joke, and takes the tropes of every sports movie you've seen and uses them in ways you're not expecting. And we've left plenty of space before the Spoiler Horn for our cross-Atlantic panel to explain why you should watch it and why we love this fusion of American and English sensibilities. We believe in Ted Lasso, and you will too.
I don't know that I would say it never goes for the cheap joke, and it's not exactly breaking new ground on sports movie tropes.G Martin 87 said:
