Agreed. I watched all of season 1 yesterday and finished this morning. LOVED it. Seriously good and really resonated with me.

OUTSTANDING performance by all the cast really but Jason Sudeikis delivered a performance for the ages.

Seriously considering starting watch 3 soon. So good.

"You don't have to keep trying." Is a line/scene for the ages. :'(

top down, great series. and i agree 100% about Keely. she was written in such a way where i should hate her for being a social media influencer and vapid, but the way they wrote her part with Roy was endearing.

Endearing is actually the word i'd use for every aspect of the show.

It's like they took stereotypes and what you think they're going to and make it different. That's part of the beauty of this show.

Not sure how my wife and I were so late to the party, we play and coach competitive soccer and so many of our friends had been asking for months "have you watched Ted Lasso?!"

Finally watched Ted Lasso for the first time yesterday, it was part of in flight entertainment so watch a couple episodes. Was hooked and watched 5 more late last night.

Agree with the quote above, they do a good job in making you care about each character. I don't watch a lot of sitcoms any more but did watch *****t's Creek early in the pandemic and Ted Lasso is similar in that it's a comedy that does well at pulling at the heart strings a bit as well. Either laughing or tearful during many scenes. This might be an overall trend in all sitcoms these days, but it's something I noted both these two series have done well. Started watching sitcoms as a kid in the 80's and this feels like a new approach but I guess Even Different Strokes, or CHeers, or certainly Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Golden Girls did these things as well. It just seems they have serious moments sprinkled throughout whereas back in the day it might be an every 8th "very special episode" type thing.

I'm really enjoying it and kind of wish I didn't discover until the end of the series so I can just binge straight through everything, never having to wait.
