I came to post this. Amazing cover. Marcus Mumford is my 2nd favorite singer so I loved it.
This is a great show.
I was expecting the Hollywood ending of Roy being a late sub, stopping a Jamie chance on goal, and turning it into a game winning goal to stay in the Premier league. We got some of that, but a much better ending. Next season should have even more of a Major League vibe due to being relegated and having less money for top players.
I had a feeling, due to Bill Lawrence being involved, that they would lose to Jamie passing the ball for the win.
They still executed it very well, and I wonder what next season will be like. I would imagine they earn promotion.
I do wonder if they will also just skip the relegation season, and next time we see them they are promoted again

I wonder if they make the FA Cup a big part of next season. It'd give them some high stakes games to feature.
My wife and I just rolled through this show over the last week and we loved it. It is extremely wholesome and as many have said, it was just a joy to watch.

Okay, that was a great finale. I was cheering in the game scenes like I was watching a real game. All of the locker room speeches were amazing.
The scene with Jamie's dad broke my heart. I hope the note from Ted was a foreshadowing that he'll come back to Richmond next season.

Even the theme song, which I thought was pretty corny the first few episodes, grew on me.
I replayed and showed to my entire family the scene from episode 2. "Caesar you later!" [Ted nearly blows the door off it's hinges and points] "Yes!... YES".
Can't wait for next season.
My 12 yr old girl is a soccer nut. Plays in the Dynamo/Dash developmental league. I've fully covered to a soccer nut as well. EPL is on in our house every Saturday and Sunday morning. Over the quarantine she read Solo, Wambach, and Lloyd's books and we both just got done reading "The National Team". We went to see the WNT play in Houston and go to a couple Dash games. Honestly I watch it much more than American football now.

Two things cracking me up a day later: the whistle never being blown joke and the explanation of what happens to bad teams in American sports with no relegation.

Finally got a chance to watch the finale tonight...just pitch perfect. Every time I feel like this show has hit the perfect note there's another cherry on top that just makes it even better.
Roy and Roy with Keeley was just perfect, Ted continuing to get in Jamie's head was hilarious, the intro with Nate, just all of it. Hate that we have to wait for S2 but can't wait to see where this show goes.

Just blew through the show in a couple days. Not only is this my new "annoy everyone I know by insisting they watch it", but a spectacular bonus was discovering the music of Cam Cole. Holy crap that dude is good! Jack White - esque

With only the finale left to go, I sat the missus down today and watched Ted Lasso. All of it. Restarted from the beginning and didn't get off the couch for five hours. It was better the second time, and, while not all of the emotional notes landed as strongly, it was one helluva roller coaster. Teared up multiple times and felt wrung out at the end.
I'm predicting three seasons. Next year they have to make it back and get promoted, and year three they have to win the whole ****ing thing!
As someone whose favorite show ever is Scrubs, this is quite a strong contender. The only thing I feel is holding it back is the modern trend of 10 episode seasons. I would love to have seen this in the era of 22 episodes per season.

To me it's a really fascinating exploration of how modern society responds to someone who is truly "good" at their core.
I can't recall the last show I watched that drew me in so quick and kept me captivated all the way through. What a great show.
