Gotta say, I remember watching some of it when it was on TV but I was a kid. Now as an adult, especially a Texan, it's one of the most hilarious shows I've ever seen.

It's on Hulu; we're on season 8 or so now. Our only complaint is the Texas geography they refer to, i.e., Hank can go to Dallas and Houston easily; and the BraZos river flooded Arlen.

Otherwise, it's such a relatable show too for someone who grew up in the mix of country and suburban cowboy texas country.

It's also a heart warming show many times and Hank is legitimately a good man, husband, and father.

CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

Arlen, Texas is similar to Springfield for The Simpsons. We know Arlen is somewhere in Texas, but the actual location changes based on the plot of an individual episode.

Strange thing to say about a fictional cartoon character.

Wait? The entertainment industry got geography wrong in a TV shot or movie?

SHOCKING!

They could have chosen a better background here.

I mean, at least Matamoros is within a 20-30 min drive of the beach. What was more ridiculous was when they showed the mountains in the background while they were driving around Matamoros.

The episode where Bobby learns women's self defense is probably the funniest one I have ever seen..legitimately laughed so hard, I cried.

Fantastic show. Now I'll have to start it from the beginning.

I always wondered what non-Texans thought of the show. So much of it is so Texas-centric and seemingly relatable to only those of us fortunate enough to live here.

One of my favorite episodes was when Khan goes full white trash.

I moved to the northwest after college and was surprised to learn that people loved it. I guess it makes sense, there's no way just Texans could keep it on the air for that long. They may not have realized how relatable the show was to us, but the characters are still hilarious and accurately portray many of the stereotypes of Texans and rednecks in general. I told my north Idahoan redneck roommate/landlord that my Dad was basically a baptist Hank with a PhD (and he was) and that pretty much sealed the deal on getting cheap rent.

That's a show that would be even more relevant today than the time period it aired in. First of all Dale was right to warn us about the beast. Everything does spy on us today.

Just imagine Hank Hill having to confront things like safe spaces, microaggressions, antifa, toxic masculinity, and SJW culture in general.

Rednecks are everywhere. Ever driven through Pennsylvania or Ohio outside of the major cities?

Maybe you didn't watch Beavis and Butthead? Or even Office Space to some extent. Mike Judge grew up in Texas and Albuquerque, and pretty much nailed a caricature of the ambiguous small town that's turned into a suburb.

Thats basically what I was saying. I initially didnt realize it, but after moving up there saw it's not all Texas inside jokes. Rednecks and the people who love them are everywhere and thusly love this show.

KOTH is greatness.

The location is a great inside jokes they have going for Texans. I know they've mentioned zip code 77803 (Bryan), area code 409 (Beaumont/Galveston) - and they get to Mexico and back for a quick day trip on several occasions.
Oh, and Boomhauer fell asleep while tubing and ended up in a draining ditch in Houston, I believe - classic.

Watched the Boggle episode today. Hank and Peggy are heading to Dallas for a Boggle tourney and Hank yells "Lets go Peggy! We gotta get there before the gangs wake up!"
