I'd say Spoonman
I was thinking Spoonman too, which I like way less than Black Hole Sun. But out of the "Big 4" Seattle grunge bands, I probably like Soundgarden the least, so none of their songs are up there for me.

Out of those 4, SG had the best singer hands down.

Agreed, but as my user name would suggest I'm a huge Layne Staley fan too.

The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows - Brand New.

Usually a skip for me. Hate is a strong word, but I just never cared for it.

Coming from a fellow "Misunderstood Youth of the early 2000s", I automatically respect the hell out of anyone who knows/likes/loves Brand New; however, I am blown away that this would be a song that any of their fans wouldn't care for...although I somewhat get it.

I assume most who like Brand New also like Blink-182. And if you like Blink-182, ALL THE SMALL THINGS IS THE MOST ANNOYING SONG THEY HAVE EVER PUT OUT BUT IT IS THEIR MOST PLAYED SONG ON SPOTIFY.

I put Staley on top.

Seattle Grunge Mount Rushmore bands, ranked:

1. Alice in Chains
2. Nirvana
3. Pearl Jam
4. Soundgarden

Personally, other than being from Seattle, I never really classified AiC as "grunge". Not that that is a bad thing, I was never a huge grunge fan to begin with. They didn't carry the look, the sound was a bit more metal, and the vocals were pretty unique.

If you disregard Tubthumping, Chumbawamba is basically Radiohead.

That song makes me punch air.

Also, "grunge" is the worst genre name ever.

True...I didn't like the song from the start

My Hero - Foo Fighters. Not sure if it is a signature song, but definitely one of their more popular ones and I can't stand it. The guitar in the intro and throughout the song is horrible.

Come on, it is the perfect Mox song.

And AIC had two singers just as good if not better than eddie or kurt.

Chris is the unarguably the best singer technically of the group, and kurt or eddie the worst. Both of their ranges are horrible, and they were pitchy.

Layne was incredibly on pitch. He would double his vocals, and you can't even tell, because they are perfectly spot on.

As evidenced in this video with Dave Jerden.

Ha, that was the song that got me to start liking them. Of course I soon after admitted that everlong was really an amazing song but I resisted because I had decided they sucked when Big Me came out.

Everlong was the song that got me listening to them. My Hero is the song that almost got me to stop.

Seven Nation Army was ruined when it became a jock jam.

Now I'm genuinely curious because I love the guitar riff and sound of that song. Is it the distortion they use on it or is it the notes you hate? What is it?

It's the high pitch neer neer neer neeeeerrr in the beginning right after the drums and bass, and then the constant repeat of a variation of it during the verses and rest of the song. It's very annoying to me.

Edit: I just brought up the song on Spotify, and yep...still annoying. Made it about halfway through the song and I had to shut it off. The chorus is fine to me.

Different strokes I guess. I absolutely love the chord combos..

Atleast My Hero proves a proper arena jam can be in a major key.

My Hero is my favorite Foo Fighters song.
