It's not like any of this is top secret and locked away in a vault somewhere. The number of people who have access is pretty large and quite a few non-Disney people have access. As far as I'm aware, no NDAs have been breached and there is no internal hunt for the sources.

I love the Modesta/Modesto nod so much. I also love how the final scene doubles as a reveal that Rey is still alive but also sets up that she's going to train new Jedi. Yes, the hero-goes-to-heaven-and-has-choice-to-make is a little cliche, but it works because it's Star Wars and because of the whole Force ghost nature of this galaxy (setting up that there is, in fact, an afterlife). This is so much better than Rey burying the light sabers in the sand on outside Luke's home on Tatooine, which still doesn't make any sense to me.

Also, this is the account of the guy who keeps posting all the script excerpts. He got it from an acquaintance who's apparently connected to Lucasfilm in some way. Says he might be able to post the whole script soon. At this point, he's posted so many pages I don't see what the hold up is.

That's the full script. Will try to read it at some point this weekend, though it might be later this week. Either way, I can't wait to hear what others think...

I have to admit, it's a challenge to resist the urge to throw up a quick new url/site, copy and paste the script text to it, and splice all the existing pre-production artwork into the corresponding sections. I can't be wasting that kind of time, but if there was a way to instantly monetize it, I'd consider it, as the traffic would be insane, at least for a week or so...

I finished reading the script this morning. I'm a bit surprised someone decided they wanted to leak this. There are things that are good, things that are dumb, nothing about it is clearly better than what we got.

Bits I noticed that I don't remember reading in the other recaps:
- Hux keeps trying to use the force and is unable to. He tries to levitate objects and pull memories from people. Rose makes fun of him for this.
- There are hints of a romance between Poe and Rey early on, but this totally disappears about 1/3 through the script.
- The climactic Rey and Kylo fight has a similar ending to the Kylo-Rey fight on the Death Star in Rise of Skywalker. He's winning, and then Leia calls out to him, but instead of him being distracted for Rey to hit him, he just collapses? Maybe I misread that. It seemed odd.
- Rey embraces the dark and light sides of the force in the end, which is odd. The lesson seems to be it's ok to embrace the dark side of the force if the end result is what you want, which is a pretty weird lesson for Star Wars. The more I think about this, the more I don't like it at all. It throws out the window the entire Saga's philosophy that hate and evil are never justified.
