I love all the responses. It's not the 'song of the decade', but my favorite pop song of this decade is Castle On The Hill by Ed Sheeran. It tugs at my heartstrings like no other, and I'll probably still tear up a little when I hear it 40 years from now.

Taylor Swift's best song this decade is about watching 30 years of Aggie Football:

When TSwift's run as a pop culture icon is over and she starts releasing acoustic versions of some of her hits it's going to be awesome.

Funny thing about Sheeran is how many contenders he has. Thinking Out Loud is my favorite and has t even made a list.

at least we can all agree this is probably the worst decade for music in general amirite

I think that was a troll post, but no. I think this decade has seen a resurgence of actual quality pop music that rivals the 80s.

Yeah I also think advancement in technology has made this maybe the best decade in music in a long time. It's never been easier for musicians to get their music to fans and for fans to find new music and as a result you're seeing just an insane variety of music out there that's easily accessible. And what is 'pop music' is much more beholden to the fans than ever before.

Surprised no mention of Drake for artist of the decade or song of the decade. Him and Taylor Swift pretty much ruled the 2010's. Im not sure which song of his would be in the running for song of the decade, maybe Hotline Bling?

My own personal favorite, Sorry by Justin Bieber. Ive never seen a bigger reaction for a song from people when it comes on, than that song.

I think One Dance would be Drake's contender. Don't remember where it fell on that Billboard list but was surprised that it was low.

In My Feelings is the other one that jumps to mind just because of the stupid car dancing thing but I don't think it was as big of a song.

From Billboard's list:

19. God's Plan
35. One Dance
87. Nice for What
92. Hotline Bling
98. In My Feelings

With "Used to Know" being the initial offering on this thread, that speaks volumes. Most of the songs listed are utter poop, but the masses eat it up regardless. Carry on.

He's right. Used to know is a hilarious offering.

The only megahit of this decade that I can still listen to is take me to church

Honestly couldn't tell you how a single Drake song goes.

Sounds like you've never been at a party when "Shake it Off" comes on.

I'm the same way with Drake. If you played one of his hits and asked me who recorded it, I would likely recognize the song, but I wouldn't know it was a Drake or song off the top of my head. There's about a half dozen artists who would be in my list of guesses.
