Species age differently was literally the first thing said about it. You can't break it down with some simple math equation. Maybe it takes 100 years for the species to grow/mature and then they live out the rest of their adult lives. It's not something to fret Over

Why can't it just be left at "magical space alien creatures do not necessarily age at the same rate as earth humans"? Trying to do the math on this is just reaching.

You have clearly never owned an animal. Look up how quickly dogs and cats mature compared to a human. Also, Yoda was 923 when he died, get your facts straight!

i rounded.

Also most species that mature slowly into adulthood then have a shorter adulthood have multiple life stages like a pupae stage, then adult stage. Baby yoda is definitely not a pupae.

Just saying that stating that "different species age at different rates" doesn't quite explain it.

Did anyone else do the math on the baby Yoda Creature?

If the Baby Yoda species creature Mando captures is 50 years old and is approximately the equivalent of 1 year old.

Yoda himself lived to be about 1,000 years old.

so if 50 years for Yoda's species = 1 Human year
Then 1,000 Yoda species years = 20 human years.

Yoda died at 20 although he looks about 100 in human years in ROTJ.

Has anyone else noticed that the math just doesn't add up. Is there something I am missing?

also disney pretty much has sucked at all things star wars so my hope for this is being good long term is pretty low.
Your math is confusing and I think wrong. We only have two data points to compare here. Yoda's death age and the average life expectancy of a human. Based on that, baby Yoda is roughly equivalent to a 4 yr old human which seems accurate based on his portrayal in the show. So, saying Yoda died at 20 doesn't make any sense.

How about, he's not from Earth so none of your data matters.

How do you define a year in a galaxy without Earth?

Not to mention he seems capable of swallowing food that looks to weigh approximately 10% of his body weight and his mass doesn't seem to increase.

Also he seems to be capable of lifting thousands of pounds off the ground by simply lifting his hand. That also defies logic.

Big time plot holes right there.

ok, so you're speaking about a fictional universe where:

there is sound in the vacuum of space
spaceships in space maneuver like airplanes in atmosphere
a famous Jedi and a boy are hiding from the government and using their real last names
a decision is made to NOT destroy an escape pod because it doesn't have a life form reading on board

Yoda would have lived to be 2,000, but the high womp-rat diet that he was eating on Dagobah caused extremely bad blood pressure.

I also heard that Master Yoda really enjoyed his spice and frequented the brothels of the Hutts often. Such a shame

Sure didn't. And it has been discussed in the Mandalorian thread.

And hiding with relatives that Darth Vader has met.

and living in the exact same homestead that Darth Vader first met them at.

I find the lack of baby Yoda gifs in this thread disturbing.

I had no problem with that.

My biggest issues so far were

- A giant rhino like creature that is super strong, can be killed instantly with a tiny little blade to the side of its neck.

- 2 guys can completely reassemble a space ship from basically the frame up in a matter of a day or so.

The Internet told me it was a vibroblade. I'm not sure how serious that is, but it seemed like a big deal.
