I think your right. That is the only reason I could think of the story line being introduced for selling the bar, him being nice to her and she going out on her own. I really hope they get her story back on track, because it went down hill fast. And not in an interesting way.

Anyway I loved it! One of my top 5 favorites so so tense and good!

Like everyone I thought the fling from Karen was a bit stupid but it goes with what is essentially a mid-life crisis and she is lost and just flailing about trying to find purpose and happiness. So much of her history was tied into her husband and Chase then her adopted daughter that she is not dealing well with the idea of empty nesting and is just losing her mind.

Season 3 comes out June 10.

Not sure how they will continue it after the amazing S2 arcs, but I am so looking forward to this.

I recently started watching this show. I made it through S1 in about a week and am moving on to S2. I'm loving the show so far, especially all the scenes in space. The effect they did with the moondust during the solar flare in the first episode of S2 was pretty awesome.

I so enjoyed the past two season and am really looking forward to season 3, but they have some 'splainin' to do regarding the whole aging thing. Especially for Joel Kinnaman. Isn't he supposed to be like 70 at this point?
I think I remember Ronald Moore saying something after the last season that they would address it after we saw Ed in the trailer, but geesh... he may have looked even younger in that trailer.

Maybe there's some time dilation going on due to all his space travel.

Just to reiterate for any newbies, I think this is a top 5 show all time for me. Maybe top 2. No idea where it is going but it's been fun so far.

First episode of season 3 was pretty awesome. This is definitely one of my favorite shows currently airing.

Agree on the Karen/Danny storyline. Only good thing to come out it is that I was introduced to that dope ass Billy Swan cover of 'Don't be Cruel.'

Other than the forced continuance of a terrible subplot, love the direction this episode took.

Karen going from housewife to bar owner to space expert is a bit unbelievable. I can live with that but the continued teenaged romance subplot is ridiculous. Rest of the show is excellent. Molly is awesome!

I commented to my wife last night that it's strange hearing music from my youth ( Today by Smashing Pumpkins) being played as part of a period piece but I guess Siamese Dream is 30 years old.

I'm also struggling a bit with the makeup. Ed, Karen and briefly Ellen's husband all look like kids wearing "old people makeup" in a middle school play.

On the podcast for the episode, Moore said they were going to lean into the storyline more this season because of the fans reaction to it. Essentially, he wants to tell the story he wants to tell and he thinks its hilarious that the fans hate it.

Just caught up. I freaking love this show. It's just enjoyable to watch.

We're one episode from being fully caught up, as a whole, still entertaining show

Wasnt a huge fan of the start of season 3 but the last episode was real good. Great show overall if you ignore the laughably absurd 'woke' efforts.

The final scene of the most recent episode (7/1) was unexpected. The space scenes are always great.

I figured that something was going to go wrong, but what happened is not anything that came to mind.

I assumed the Russians were going to hijack. They still might but certainly didn't expect that.

This show is so damn good. I'm surprised more people aren't commenting on it. Top 10 series for me

It's because you have to subscribe to AppleTV+ to watch it and most people don't have it. I try to get people to watch it all the time but people are worried about paying $6 to binge the series in a month
