It's odd with the 10 year age gap of the actors versus the 20 in the show.

And the title of the next episode is, "Here's to you." which is obviously a Graduate (Mrs. Robinson) reference, so of course they're going there despite no one in their audience wanting it to go there. Sigh.

Little bit of both, but the Karen part is just stupid, and is only there to provide drama before Ed goes back to space (as if there isn't enough drama with the moon itself).
I wish they could have come up with a more interesting way for conflict on the moon to kick off. Trigger happy moonrine is such a predictable trope.

As someone who grew up 8n the Cold War, that was tough to watch.

Not quite as good as season one but a strong finish. Gordo is my hero. And Ed, why don't you clue the rest of your crew in on your plan? Maybe de-escalate things a little? Although, now that I think about it, maybe that plan didn't occur to him until Piscotty started talking about a third way out.
A lot of eye roll moments this season but still looked forward to it every week, especially how the real events were worked in. The KAL shoot down episode was incredible. The only thing that beats war on the moon is war on Mars.

So I was trying to run down the time line in my head leading into mid 90's. How old will all of the main characters be at this point? Will they pretty much be gone? Season 3 could be entertaining.
Ed has to have been born in the 1938-1943 time frame since he had finished Annapolis and flew in Korea, making him 57-60.sburg2007 said:

Karen is the same age.
Molly is about the same age.
Ellen and Danielle are probably 10 years younger making her 47-50.
Margo was around 25 in 1969, making her around 50 as well.
Aleida was 7 in 1969? So making her around 32.
Karen will forever be 33 and a smoke show in my mind!

Just bought a new iPad that got me a free year of AppleTV+, and this is about the most interesting thing I've found thus far. I have a long fascination with the space program and enjoy movies and books about the actual history of it. Alternate history, well, I've enjoyed that with regard to historical events like WWII, so I suppose this does have some potential.

And someone ended that new thread I started with a picture that will haunt my dreams for the next month, so I will play here now.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this series. I think there would be more talk about this if it were on Netflix as opposed to Apple.
Overall on the cast:
- Joel Kinnaman was well cast in this. Up to this point, I have never been impressed with much he had done. I thought he was ok in Altered Carbon, but that was about it.
Thoughts on season 2:
- Enjoyed it. It was a lot more action packed that season 1. And it really made you hate the ruskies.
- The jukebox scene and all that extended from that was horrible. I guess I understand why they wanted to take the story in that direction, but there were about 1.5 million better ideas I could have come up with to accomplish the same thing that were not as creepy
- The season finale was really good. I'm trying to be vague here for those that haven't seen it, but seeing what all happened in the world, with all the tension of what is going to happen, and the people involved to bring it to resolution is a bit scary. You wonder how many times in the history of the modern day world, we have been close to an actual 's' storm breaking out. Sometimes, the govt and military keeping us in the dark is a good thing I guess.
- Spoiler: Losing Gordo and Tracy really sucked. I kind of thought they were have them make it.
Going into season 3:
- I hope the character of Danielle gets a bigger role this season now that Gordo is no longer with us

The affair plot point was dumb.
And the rusky didn't respond to Russian but reached in a box for translations and then speaks English is bad.
Other than that, it's one of my favorite shows.
Hopefully the Karen affair is just like fat Apollo on BSC.
My prediction for season 3 is Karen is with Tracy's widower.

The actress playing Karen also plays Becca Butcher in The Boys on Amazon. If you have not seen that it is amazing. Maybe the most irreverent super hero show ever.

Meshes definitely worthwhile watching. But not a fan of superheroes.
