I mentioned already but I can't see Mike Schur going out dark. I'm guessing next week is a series of flash forwards that show how each person spent "eternity" and then they all walk through the door together.

Just checked and the episode is called "Whenever You're Ready" so I'm pretty sure that's where it's going. I bet we also see a number of reoccurring characters as well. Mindy St Claire, Shawn, Simone, Brent, etc.

You know a show has made it when it inspires a porn parody.

Think they are massively underselling some of the recent episodes.

Gotta feeling they're going to go dark on the last episode. Like this whole series was just a projection in Eleanor's head as her brain shuts down and the end is her walking through the green door and her mom pulling the plug at the same time. Maybe the same thing is happening At the same time with chidi, Jason and tehawnee(sp?).

Oh for forks sake, dude. C'mon.

I was let down by this. From this pic, I was expecting Tahani to be much hotter than she was.

Big fan of the finale. Emotional but they did a good job.

It wasn't perfect, some things felt rushed or forced a bit, but absolutely loved the heart and message of the last episode. Was as good a resolution as I could have hoped.
And I agree with the cast afterwards, the wave soliloquy will always stay with me from this show.

Oh and Nick Offerman showing up was awesome.

Take it sleazy is the best thing they could have ended it on.

The guitar teacher is Ted Danson's wife which is cool

She's a hottie. I mean Kristen Bell is an all timer so Janet/Darcy kinda doesn't get the attention she should but if you saw her in a bar you'd be all over her. Her body is absolutely rocking.

I thought it was a great finale. Nearly perfect. I love that even after they dissolve back into the universe, a little piece of them comes back to Earth to spread even just a tiny bit of goodness. This was such a great show.

Bell is a hottie, but she's got a mad set of cankles working. First noticed while she was in that Greece scene.

Still wood

Sad and beautiful. Jason being unaware he became a monk is so perfect.

Fantastic, thoughtful, earnest, sad, and hopeful finale. I wasn't the biggest fan of this season (it was perfectly fine, not up to prior seasons for me), but they absolutely nailed the ending.

Would agree to pretty much what everyone said for the finale. A great finale and resolution to the show and characters with a good message and heart. I thought the wave soliloquy was great and something I'll remember.

It was great to see when they go through the door they still spread even the smallest goodness after they're gone.

Just some fun/funny stuff in the episode:
- Nick Offerman cameo
- Telling a girl to smile is bad from Brent
- Mindy St. Claire getting out of the medium place
- Jason became a monk without realizing it
- Maya's East Dillon shirt
- Chidi calendar
- When you think a jalapeo popper is going to be hot but when you eat it it's the perfect temperature from Jason.
- Michael becoming an human.

- Jason's dad wearing a Mark Brunell jersey was a great touch

Wow, what a roller coaster that was. I'll miss this show like crazy, but I agree that this was probably the best way to end it.

I loved a lot of the parts already mentioned, but 151 million reboots later Derek was great too.

This series really is on the all time list for me. So great.

Really enjoyed the finale.

This may or may not have been me during the scene with Chiti and Eleanor on the couch.

This may be one of the worst takes of all time.
Her legs are some of the best around. They're rather renowned for their incredibleness.

I appreciate their musculature, but even my wife agreed. Check the scene walking around Greece in that dress with those white shoes. Probably an optical illusion.

That's not dolled up. Specifically chosen to display ankle area.
Now Google pics of her all gussied up and in heels. Perfection.

As I have thought about it over the last 24 hours, I think the reason the finale struck a chord with so many, beyond the heart it showed and the perfect ending, is that for the entire show philosophy was front and center, as was our desire to avoid our mortality,
But in the end the really simple and wholly true message, beyond the constant theme of selflessnes, was that it is our mortality that makes us human. We have to have an end to be real. That is both comforting and cathartic, especially as a way to end something we enjoyed, like the show. It was such a great ending point and message after all of the craziness of the 4 seasons, it brought "reason" to the whole series, as it ended the philosophy angle came full circle.

Side note, saw this on twitter and thought it was both true and hilarious.

Ranks up there with FNL as a finale that feels complete.

the last few episodes certainly make you think about our own lives. How the certain end leads to to strive for fulfillment and complete lives and how an unending afterlife would lead to a mundane existence.

Reminds me of the episode of Alf where we learn that Melmacians have a set life span. Willie said he'd have been scared to know when he was going to die, but Alf said he'd be scared not to know.

Brings new meaning to Alf's deeply philosophical catchphrase "haaah! I kill me."

Binge watched all four seasons in 2 1/2 weeks. Enjoyed the show, today guess I'm in the minority regarding the finale. Saddened me to no end all that they'd fought through and overcome, becoming new soul mates over 100 times after every reboot and then upon arriving in paradise for eternity electing to "end" themselves because they felt complete.
