The tell for me was Talos complaining that "everyone keeps asking me where the Avengers are. How am I supposed to answer that?"

It looked like they had a simple job to do for a little while, and when things got out of hand they improvised.

This might have already been mentioned, but did anyone else notice the trailer had a scene, that wasnt in the movie? The scene where Spidey is fighting in the restaurant, and joking about doing the cops' jobs, before saying he's going on vacation.

I saw an interview with Tom Holland, and he explained why it was cut. The idea was to have Spiderman 'getting ready for vacation'.....getting his laundry, buying a toothbrush, picking up his passport, and taking down a local crime family. But all that slowed down the beginning too much, so they cut it all from the movie...so they could get to the kids in Europe a little quicker.

Wouldn't mind seeing those extra scenes. Sounds pretty funny.

Supposedly it's going to be on the BluRay put together like the One Shot videos they did in for the earlier films.

Just found out my parents and sister went and saw this movie and they loved it. But after talking with them I come to find out that my parents still haven't seen Endgame and my sister hasn't seen the first spider-man Homecoming. They all missed Captain Marvel as well. My question is how many people out there watched these movies out of order?? Or watch sequels before the first movie??

I loved this movie! Top 3 Marvel for me just awesome. We watched it in D Box and it was a great movie for that tech. Part of my love for it may be that I've been playing the PS4 Spider-Man game and loving it as well but /shrug.

My only complaint is MJ. I know lots of folks like her but I do not care for the flat affect, smirky faces, and flat jokes. My least favorite MJ by a large margin. Bring in the video game version she is great.

So here's a question I have: Mysterio claimed the mulitverse thing, and Fury (as the Skrull dude, forget his exact name) believed him. Were the Skrulls in contact with Fury at any point other than the end of the movie? I guess not. But it would seem like if some dude showed up claiming to be from an alternate reality, they would at least make Fury aware of it.

Movie was solid and played it safe but still felt about as generic as it comes for me. After Ragnarok/Infinity War/Endgame it was kind of just okay to me. I love spiderman, but this kind of feels old hat something that would have been great 10 years ago but we have 20 of them now.

I think the team up movies like Thor Ragnarok, Civil War, and GOTG 3 are the way to go to keep things more interesting. I highly doubt I will care about the stand alone Captain Marvel 2/Black Panther 2 movies. Dr. Strange might be the only one I think can keep it fresh on his own.

I'm honestly flabbergasted at the idea of finding this movie generic. It felt about as fresh as a MCU movie could possibly feel, to me. And this coming from someone with a bit of MCU fatigure already.

Agreed, I really love how the MCU has started to develop unique feels to some of their other films (Spidey, Guardians, the newest Thor) and Far From Home was another great example of this.

Yeah, I think they have done a good job differentiating them. GOTG is a space opera with superheroes. Spidey is a John Hughes movie with superheroes. Winter soldier was the best CA movie because it was a spy movie with superheroes. Ant Man is a heist movie, with superheroes.

To be fair, Thor Ragnarok has a real GOTG feel, but I think it will work out because now it will be much more natural for him to be on the team in GOTG 3.

Great movie. Here's what resonated with me more than it should have: the insecurity of Peter on the flight to Europe and the way Ned and Betty landed as a couple, giving Peter's fears justification. I remember feeling that way on a few school bus trips when I lost a shot to sit by my crush of the month. And I remember a few victories where I got the seat (but never secured the relationship). That felt real, more so than say the space drones creating an Avengers scale world crisis.

That's the type of stuff that I love so much about these Spider-Man movies. In Homecoming, Peter going and picking up his date just to find out that her dad is LITERALLY a supervillain cracked me up on basically a spiritual level. I remember going to my homecoming date's house and meeting her dad, who was a cop, for the first time. I was sweating bullets the entire time.

This might be a hot take, but for me this iteration of Spider-Man has the best first and second movie of any individual (solo) superhero movie in the MCU.

I'll stick with Ant Man, but Spider-Man is certainly right there.

I just saw this movie. It was great. The fight scene with reality vs simulation leading up to the train was fantastic.

I apologize for not liking Zendaya in the role previously. She is not not the traditional MJ but a fresh take. Different but not bad because it is different. She has grown on me and feels modern.

Some of the jokes did feel flat to me like Tony said you wouldn't get it because it wasn't Star Wars. Peter alluded to ESB during the airport scene of Civil War. But would Peter or kids of his generation really be much of SW fans? It seems to be more for the olds.

It was a good mix of Peter's life and Spidey's life.

The final drone swarm fight had some nice inventive use of the webbing.

I think her and the Far from Home movie are symbolic of what Marvel is going to do with their movies going forward, which makes me excited. Or at least, that's what I want. At this point we've all seen the classic superhero movie. It seems like they're committing to doing fresh takes as to what a super hero movie can be.

I think Zendaya is great at MJ. It's good to see a modern, fresh take on a character like that.

I have a Star Wars themed exam room and the young kids are very aware of Star Wars.

Peter also has a bunch of vintage figures.

But I think that line was more about Peter's pop culture references.

I'm 28 and love Star Wars. I also teach 5th graders who also love Star Wars. The olds usually get their kids to watch the movies, which they then fall in love with, and keep passing it down. Say what you want about the new trilogy and the prequels, but they've been great and bringing new generations into the fandom for years.

They certainly are big fans of Star Wars. My 13-year-old likes them (not as much as I did when I was that age, or even now), but she has a best friend who is a huge Star Wars fan. This kid went to a ComicCon dressed as a Jedi. But these kids also have Harry Potter.

What are the biggest entertainment properties with junior high kids? Fortnite, marvel, Star Wars? Is Harry Potter still popular or just with our generation?

Insert what ever the most popular video game is, and that's it. With today's kids, you tubers and pro gamers are more well known than actors. Marvel and Star Wars are very popular, but if I were to ask them who Robert Downey Jr is, i'd get a bunch of blank stares. Harry Potter isn't popular at all. In the next 10 years, I wouldn't be surprised if video games overtake movies as the most popular form of entertainment. It's already overtaken tv shows. TV besides Netflix is an "old person" thing.
