I'll look out for this type of stuff on my rewatch. Can't wait to look for details that I missed the first time through.

But dammit, my problem with this show is I watch the whole thing and then don't watch it for like a year so I forget everything. I'm going to have to do an entire rewatch before it starts again.

Another interesting thing was that helges mom confesses that Bernd is not helges dad. So another open. She confesses that to Noah so maybe he's the dad. But I'm guessing these unknown parents from that generation are future characters. And then I'm thinking that Alexander tiedeman may be from the alternate world where he has swapped places with the real Aleksander kohler.

Just recently started my rewatch and am 3 episodes in.

Still hoping S3 will drop in June. But I'm a little nervous that we still don't have a release date or trailer. (But it's GOT to be 6/27/2020.)

Pretty sure S2E6 "An Endless Cycle" is my favorite of the series.

S2 finale: I guess I hadn't noticed before that basically everyone we care about was either not in 2020 or was in the bunker when the apocalypse hit.

The only exception is Martha, who obviously is a special case given how it ends.

Also, I had forgotten that young Jonas did reopen the passage in the cave, but I still don't think that is the original creation of the passage. I think it's tied to the incident of 1986.

Could Hannah be Aleksander Tiedemann's mother? There's the scene with Egon Tiedemann where she says she is looking for a new start after visiting Ulrich in the prison. He lights her cigarette, and it looks like there could be something there.

If i missed something in this thread or if there is an obvious reason why that couldn't be true, then my apologies.

Alexander's real last name is Kohler, could that be Hannah's maiden name

Would also explain why Alexander took the Tiedeman last name when marrying Regina

Not to mention when you look at Aleksander's face, he looks like she could be Hannah's kin.

This show does a great job of finding characters who match their older/younger selves.

It wouldn't really explain why Alexander just appeared in the forest out nowhere in 1986. I think he must be from the alt world.

However I do think Hannah will be the dead woman in the lake that Magnus mentioned when they pranked Martha. The necklace she finds in the sand and gives to Jonas, is what Hannah appears to be wearing in the S3 trailer.

Really his name is Boris Niewald and he stole the Aleksander Kohler identity. If Hannah is his mother that means she's staying back in 1954 with Egon. That could be the fresh start she's looking for but I'm not picking up any other hints or foreshadowing for this theory from older '86 Egon.

And on my rewatch, I did notice that Young Jonas felt pretty different in that last episode. It didn't dawn on me that he'd actually stayed in 2019 and aged a whole other year. Great catch.

In S2, Hannah tells Aleksander that she wants Ulrich's life ruined before she travels to 1953 to see Ulrich and meets younger Egon. I'm not clear why she visited Ulrich in the hospital other than out of spite but there seems to be some connection with Egon and Ulrich that I'm missing here.

Egon started to suspect and have it out for Ulrich when he found him listening to metal and Ulrich gave him shiz for drinking and inability to find Mads, all before Hannah's rape accusation. So I'm watching Alt Shift X's video for the Westworld S3 finale, and in the comments he asked what series he should cover next. The overwhelming consensus was Dark.

Fingers crossed. This guy's videos are super well done and insightful and would be a huge asset for this series IMO.

This is probably going to be a nothing burger but when cyclops was talking to the new police detective and he was talking about Hannah.

He was fawning all over her and said something along these lines of "She could have had any guy she wanted but she chose Mikel."

I know we saw some of the back story to how they met but I wonder if Jonas had an influence in ensuring they married each other? She obviously was psycho for Ulrich but that line has stuck out to me. It just seems there is more to that story.

On the day of the party she was obviously in a good mood because she was going to see Ulrich but she seemed to care for Mikel and tried to get him to go but he refused. At that point in time she seemed to care for Mikel as her husband but obviously still wanted Ulrich. She didn't seem like the cold hearted psycho who eventually was able to ensure Ulrich's life was ruined.

The wife and I just finished season 2 last night, WOW what a great watch. I've tried to get people on the bandwagon since we started watching a month ago, no takers yet.

One of our aspects of the show that keeps it so authentic is the actor choices throughout the ages, spot on for almost all of the characters.
